Never going back.. I wouldn’t go back here the sushi was borderline compared to all the other great places around Nashville. i went out with 2 of my girlfriends and i forget what sushi it was but it had wasabi in it which we are not a real big fan of. We told the waiter to keep that out. my friend took a bite of it just to find out the wasabi was in the roll. they apologized but they should have took that off her check. so you are telling me that she has to pay for sushi that she was very unsatisfied with and didn’t eat the whole roll when it could have been easily fixed. btw SHE ONLY ATE ONE. any other place would have took it off the check and do anything to make the customer happy. paying for is not the problem its just the principle. My biggest pet peeve is when a server does not stay on top of refilling beverage. it was empty and still no refill? and they weren’t even busy! literally 4 tables plus us. they have horrible service. nothing stood out to me.all in all sushi ok nothing special. service very poor. not worth the money

Better Eat Quick. I’ve been to Sushiyobi many times, and actually enjoy the food. They have a reasonably priced lunch special. Unfortunately, I will never be eating there again after my experience today. My friend and I had been at the restaurant for about 35-40 minutes, and we’d been done eating for maybe 15 minutes. We were just sitting and chatting while she finished her tea – which was scorching hot at the beginning of the meal, so she couldn’t drink it until the end. As we chatted, and she drank, the MANAGER came over and asked that we move so other people could sit at the table. I think we were both so gobsmacked by the audacity of this lady that we couldn’t speak. She kept telling us to move to the bar so that people could sit down. I have never been to a place that said something so rude to me. I’ve been here before, and I realize that their main mission is to get you in and out quickly (as soon as you get your food, you’ll get a check – and before you can finish, they’ll take your plate), but this was crossing a line. Apparently customer service is not near as important to them as another dollar. Too bad they just lost my money, because I will not be going back again.
Terrible Service – Rude. The food is great. We have been going there for years. I will give them that. The service is very poor. I just returned from having lunch there and my co-worker and I were finishing our drinks. The waitress came by twice to check our bills to see if we had left payment yet. We got the hint, so we put our cards in the portfolio and she came very quickly to run payment. Within 10 minutes after completion of our transaction, another waitress (or manager) came over to ask us if she could move us to the bar, because people were waiting for a table. We were there a grand total of 45 minutes! I told her I still had a little of my hot tea to drink (it took that long to cool down from scalding hot when they brought it to me) so it would be just a minute. She insisted that we get up and move. I did not finish my tea and we left. We were there for a little under 45 minutes. I can understand if we were camping out at the table, not eating and didn’t spend much, but we had just spent over $30 on lunch and are regular customers. My co-worker and I agree that we will not return. I realize that this is their livelihood, but for the price, they can’t afford to be a ‘churn them and burn them’ restaurant.
Yum. I am not a sushi eater, but my friend is. We like it here because they have a couple of chicken options for me and we can both get something we like. You get a lot for the money and it is very good. The service has always been great. I just wish they were open on Sunday too.
Great Sushi & Atmosphere!. Sushiyobi quickly became our favorite sushi place after finding it a couple of years ago. We live 65 miles away, but we have been back many times. The Korean sushi chefs will teach you a little Korean language if you are so inclined.Gary & Pam J.
