I ordered medium on my two dishes for take out, but the sauces were so hot, I could not enjoy them and threw them out. I am not a novice to Indian food and enjoy Sitar, Bamboo Palace, and Shalimar regularly.
One word. Dosa. It’s the best in the city. Get the masala dosa. Seriously, it’ll rock your world.
Over Priced!. Way over priced for a Plate of rice and little curry. I would rather do an Indian buffet instead. Plus the food is not really top quality.
Love the Goat!!!. Goat is tender and succulent, the gravy is aromatic and flavorful!! Service has always been with a smile as well. I have had their chicken masala that was wonderful, had a nice tang to it that was memorable!! The food has a homey feel to it!! Glad to have it so near me!!
Delicious, generous portions!. I’m a regular now— I haven’t found better Indian food in Nashville. Don’t let the walk up counter (inside the farmers market) stop you….

The Smoothie was awesome!!I am somewhat of a regular there it was rich like the milk I used to get when I was a kid, strait from our cow!no comparing with the plastic jug commercial stuff they call milk. Amazing Grub!. I was at Swagruha on Feb. 27th and had late lunch. Had been to Swagruha several times for the best south indian food. I got on google to write a review, finally. I was surprised to to Asish Deshpande review. I was there in line with my friends, when this incident took place. My version! This place is like a food court type restaurant at a mall. While we were in the line, this indian lady went inside the restaurant through employees only door with an empty plate (ate the entire dosa) and wanted her money in a threatening way. The lady at the counter told her, that she was sorry, and will make fresh dosa and idli, but she wanted her money, got her money! Her husband sitting at a table out of site in the food court, listening to his wife wrote a review. What an Idiot! We told the lady at the counter, you have to careful with the indians and gujjus for their cheap tricks. Feb 16, 2012 sr979 review. Sat for a long time? This is not a sit in restaurant.
