Great Food Slow Service. It was a great weekend. My in-laws came up for the play and a weekend fine dining at home, watching my daughter’s play and a girl’s day out in East Nashville. After visiting the Shoppes on Fatherland and Woodland, we headed over to Tenn16 for a much recommended Cajun lunch. Despite the crazy busy East Nashville crowd, we were seated fairly quickly for a late Sunday afternoon brunch. Having arrived just before the switch from brunch to the regular menu, we ordered drinks and the Deviled Egg sampler. The sweet tea was just right and the eggs were enough to keep three adult females and a child from starving after a hard day of shopping. We then placed our main course orders and that’s when the review gets a little less than perfect.We waited for our entrees and waited and waited. We ran our of sweet tea and waited and waited for refills. The restaurant had largely cleared out, so I doubt there were a lot of orders in front of ours. Finally, our food came. It was worth waiting for. My MIL’s Shrimp and Grits were delicious. My daughter’s hand-cut fries and BLT were tasty and substantial. My SIL and I each ordered the Blackened Catfish with Jalepeno Grits. Delicious but VERY spicy despite what the waitress said. The spiciness required more sweet tea. But, I waited and waited and waited for a refill. And, we waited and waited for change from our server. My recommendation is a yes. Try this restaurant. Great vibe. Great food. Just be sure to let the waitress know up front that you like to keep your drink filled. Thumbs up for
Waited over two hours to be seated (not due to lack of seating). We had plans for the evening. Not anymore. Screw this place. Do not come!
Best Chicken and Waffles. I have been to Tenn16 on a few occassions and have not been disappointed! The chicken and waffles have to be the best around. The waffles are light and delicious and just wonderful. Awesome shrimp and grits as well! Always leave satisfied!
We loved this place and the neighborhood it was in. Lots of cool places to enjoy, but we picked this one. We lucked out too, it was outstanding. Their shrimp & grits were sooo good, very classy take on that dish. We also hed chicken & waffles with the spicy option, and it was great. It was also VERY spicy, and we’re used to spicy food. Very good service, reasonably priced considering the caliber of cuisine, and very quick back to the highway. Highly recommended!
Came to Tenn16 on a Business lunch meeting with no expectations. Wasn’t totally sure what the restaurant was, and was so pleased! They weren’t really busy at lunch, and the food came out quickly and perfectly. The Meatloaf Sandwich was to die for- it had avocado on it as well. My co -worker got the Pork Chop Sandwich and it was amazing as well. Highly recommend this place to anyone for night out or for a lunch meeting. Reasonable prices as well!

Outstanding beer list! Clearly skills in the kitchen but lacks some execution and attention to detail. Great charcuterie plate. Knowledgable service staff.
