Went on Sat nite with some friends. THAT WAS THE SALTIEST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD! And it wasn’t just mine. All 6 of us had different dishes and ALL we almost inedible. With all the new restaurants opening in Nashville, we have just crossed 404 off the list.
Loud, Crowded, and Unimpressive. My wife and I were excited to have the opportunity to get a seat tonight for dinner. When we arrived, we were wedged in between other diners who were less than a foot away. This would be great if we were amongst family and friends, but when you are next to a table with people who have imbibed too much, it is quite the annoyance when I have to yell to speak to my wife three feet away across the table. The food was unimpressive as well. The best item we had was the allium soup. The wife’s chicken entree tasted like a salt lick and was quite unpalatable. My entree of the pork ragout was well prepared and a fair dish. We also had the cornbread, which was very bland and had no hint of corn. We decided to forgo dessert as we did not want to have another disappointing dish. Next time, we will just wait at the bar at Husk and truly enjoy a quality meal. My suggestion to the management is to taste each dish before they leave the kitchen and they may as well install a communal table on the back wall as the setup now is pretty much similar. We so much wanted to have a good experience here, but there is not much to rave about. We could have had a phenomenal dinner at home prepared by me for $100+. I would not suggest this place unless you want to sit on top of your fellow diners and enjoy over salted dishes.

Awful Customer Service — And It Starts at the Top. They messed up our reservation (it was for the patio, they seated us inside). Not a big deal — apologize, offer us a drink, everyone’s happy. Nope not here. We got a visit from the manager to tell us it was our fault. Asked the waitress who we should contact to complain about his attitude and treatment of us. Turns out he’s the managing-partner. Hope that Beard award keeps them in business, because when the owners treat the customers like crap, they sure as heck won’t be coming back for the customer service. That said, the waitress was nice (and very apologetic) and food was decent. Oh yeah, on the way out, waitress thanked us, hostess who originally seated us wished us a good evening. Managing Partner, that dude pushed his way past us in the doorway, never said a word. To much of a wuss to even make eye contact.
Bummer . I get excited when hear my city is raising the bar in the dining arena …. But what a disappointment… Mealy tomatoes, too-tough- to chew steak, mediocre service . Thank god for bourbon and wine, otherwise would have been a total bust. Sorry nashville you’re still middle Tennessee .
