One of the most interesting and memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Nashville. It’s basically like being on set in a Food Network show. It’s fascinating just to watch the chefs work, as there’s so much going on at once. There is a ton of thought and preparation that goes into each menu, and the attention to detail is like no other place I’ve been. The staff was not pretentious; on the contrary they seemed to enjoy fielding our unsophisticated questions. They know it’s expensive so they want to make it special. If you’re an adventurous foodie or love to cook for yourself you need to check it out for the experience and the food. I plan on going again.
This was the most amazing dining experience I have ever had. I normally write detailed reviews but I’m in overload with where to start! Every course has multi-sensory wow factor. I’m not the most adventurous eater yet there was nothing that I was served that I did not try and absolutely love. Some of the foods I would have considered out of my ‘comfort zone’ – but I’m so glad I went with an open mind because the payoff was delicious! This meal is like getting served a signature dish at every course. And I can’t think of another restaurant who has one signature dish that compares to any of the eight that I had. I will be back. It was money well spent. Thank you to the chefs and excellent servers for your attention to detail and making the experience so memorable.
Go here if you want weird drinks and expensive snacks but not if you’re looking for a great meal. It’s quite a pretentious little joint and feels like a private club. If you want to watch bearded bartenders stir endlessly crazy concoctions, call and make a reservation.
Fun experience!. If you like food and culinary arts, Catbird Seat is a must. I’ve never been to a restaurant where you are given the menu after your meal…it’s truly a souvenir.
Anniversary Dinner at The Catbird Seat Restaurant. It was good, & we were both glad that we went. If I had it to do over knowing what I know now, we would still have done it. Their non-alcoholic drink pairing was extremely interesting & showed a lot of talent. Surprisingly, we were both stuffed even with the small portions of 12 courses.
Spectacular food served my a friendly and knowledgeable staff, great space, great valley. Only complaint was the wine its suited in my opinion to one persons taste which does not in any way do the food justice. facebook.com
Not just dinner, but an experience.. I have lived in various places around the world and have always been a fan of food whether in an outdoor market in South America or in a cafe in Paris. I have also eaten wonderfully prepared food in a number of restaurants here in Nashville. I must say, however, that what Catbird Seat offers with Chef Trevor Moran is more than fine dining, it is an experience. The entire team of people who were working in tandem with him clearly respected not only the quality of the food, but also service. Moreover, there was clearly an art and a personality that went into the preparation of each of the dishes. I know that it sounds bizarre, but I was actually emotionally moved!
