Ate there for the first time today. My husband had told me about this place. I had the beef brisket sandwich plate with 2 sides of Cesar salad and fried okra. Every thing was very good. Large crispy okra and the romaine lettuce was crisp. Brisket was very tasty but I agree with the other reviewer that the portion of beef was very skimpy especially for the size of bun and the cost. Too much bread and not enough meat. I will still go back:). Very friendly and very clean.

Chris Craig from Louisiana. I was at Dickeys Barbecue in March, its was great food, atmosphere & great service, the food was delicious, the owners were great people, made me feel at home. If you are ever in the area & want some good barbecue just check out Dickeys.
Best BBQ in Knoxville. My Husband and I LOVE Dickey’s BBQ, it has the best flavor, and for $8.99 you get a GREAT lunch, and they have amazing dinners, plus, don’t forget the FREE Ice cream!!! we go at least once a week 🙂
Disappointing. Eagerly awaited the opening of Dickey’s hoping for some really good Texas barbeque but left disappointed. The ribs were good but the pulled pork was a very big disappointment. The texture was almost mushy and the flavor bland (never experienced anything quite like it) and the only flavor was derived from the sauce. The original and spicy sauces were both good. Okra and mashed potato casserole were fairly good but the macaroni tasted like a mix and the onion strings were way overcooked. Overall I would say you can do a lot better elsewhere.
I ate their last night for dinner for the first time. I ordered the spicy cheddar sausage and the brisket. Sides were okra and jalapeo beans. Dinner came with pickles, onions, and a roll. They have 3 sauces (original, sweet, and spicy). The sausage was not great. The brisket was good. The sides were normal, nothing special. The sweet sauce was my favorite. Neat interior and clean. The food was just ok for me. I continue to be disappointed in Knoxville BBQ joints.
