Wednesday night dinner. Walked right in …sat right down. Neatly decorated but not over the top. Comfortable. Has a Japanese side and a smaller tables and sushi side. The sushi chef was very meticulous. Cleaned a lot as well. My first ever sashimi. Yellow tail and smoked salmon. Delightful.Ordered a spicy tuna roll. Maybe just a slight light on the tuna but otherwise was good. Again very careful preparation. Also had a Rainbow Roll. This was a good choice and was not over the top on presentation but was good. Sat at the Sushi bar and that alone was very interesting. My server was very prompt and helpful when I had questions about the menu.2 sashimi, one tunaroll and the rainbow roll with a soda…$26.00.To me….worth the money.
Best authentic Japanese available in Knoxville. Also best nigiri in the area by a landslide(I am a nigiri prostitute). First of all, there are dishes on the menu that you will find often in Japan, but you won’t find anywhere else in Knoxville. Next is the service, which is pleasant and accommodating. This isn’t americanized Japanese, it’s the real deal and is a great choice to broaden your culinary horizons.
Worst service I’ve ever had. We waited almost an hour of our food while watching people who came later get their food before us. When we tried to ask our waitress about it she refused to make eye contact. When we finally got our food we had to wave her down again for silverware and then again for more silverware (she brought them one at a time). There was never any explanation for why our food took so long and when we got it it’s wasn’t even that good. I can’t see myself coming back.
