Good if they ever get your order right.
Tasty. Had the enchilada verdes. Had a nice spice. The server was patient when he took our order and came back when we were ready. Just passing through on a Friday night of travel. Would stop again.
Basic Mexican. Had dinner this week. Had the house special rib eye with onions and mushrooms but I forget the name of it. Served with rice and beans. In my opinion just average. Nothing over the top. Nothing bad, service was good and food was ok just nothing that I haven’t had at other Mexican places in Knoxville.
Hidden Secret!!. We were looking for a patio and cocktails on a gorgeous night! La Parilla fit the bill. We eat low carb so Mexican cuisine isn’t usually on our list. We sampled the salsa and it had a nice bite. Took a chance and tried cactus and requested it grilled. What a pleasant surprise!! We shared the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail and the Porte Vallarta Seafood Fajitas. Both dishes were abundant in size and tasted so fresh. We were so thankful to find this hidden gem! Francesco waited on us and was so friendly and took the time to explain dishes and even showed what the cactus looked like. We will definitely return!
My Usual Mexican Place. This is about the only Mexican place I take my family to eat. We always get the Chicken Chimichangas during lunch and love it!!
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Knoxville! Consistently very high quality-try the chicken fajitas or shrimp quesadilla. Staff is very attentive, nice open atmosphere yet extra large and extra high booths provide good privacy for up to six people each. I also like that they provide a selection of hot sauces on table for extra heat. Great salsa. Good for either families or before-the-movie date nights. I almost like it as much as the legendary Chez Guevara near the mall. That is a huge compliment by the way…
Finally! a great mexican restaurant… Having lived in this area for 25 yrs, after coming from texas, we have been searching for a good mexican restaurant for our fix..and now we have it.. the food is the best in town, service unsurpassed, prices very reasonable, a very good value..we dine there at least weekly, and take out of town guest when in town..don’t understand all the negativity..highly reccomend..
