We have enjoyed the food at Little Bangkok for several years however when we visit the restaurant with another couple the service that we are given really makes our visit a lot less Pleasant. We attended the restaurant on Easter Sunday and we ordered several appetizers which included some spring rolls two soups and a small salad dish. The salad this came out by itself. By the time our soup and the other appetizer came out are eating companion was already finished with the salad. Then before one of the diners was finished with the soup her entre came out only. We sat and waited for the other entres but it took at least five to ten minutes before they came out. This makes for a very uncomfortable evening when 3 people have to sit and wait for their entre and one person has their entree and it is getting cold. The food is excellent butt this type of situation does not make it Pleasant to dine with another couple. We are not sure whether the server or the kitchen was at fault but we think that this situation should be addressed in the future. We will continue to go to Little Bankok butt if this happens again we will shy away from bringing other couples to eat with us.
9/18/2015 – As with any Thai restaurant, I have to order a baseline dish to align my thoughts. For me, the dish is Chicken Pad Thai. The Pad Thai is good–nice light sauce (it doesn’t stick the noodles together) and they add in the raw sprouts, etc. to give it a texture journey. I did order it 4/5 hot, but didn’t think it was as hot as it should have been.Also ordered a couple of the vegetable spring rolls, pretty good, but would have liked a different sauce (again, Lek’s has an amazing sweet peanut sauce) than the sweet-hot chili sauce they serve.
What a treat to celebrate Little Bangkok’s 10th Anniversary celebration last evening. They have to be doing something right to stay in business all this time. Hot/Sour Soup…so good. Enjoyed the Peanut Sauce with Beef and Tofu, Spring Rolls, Eggs Rolls and Orange Beef…my personal favorite. Keep it up Little Bangkok..you are doing it right! whstonemandining.blogspot.com
We use Little Bangkok once a week for take out. Note -if you eat in there are some specials that they don’t inform you of when you call in. The weakest items on menu are the appetizers which make the Little Bangkok Platter a let down. They haven’t updated their menu in 5 years….i. e. no wonton soup, Bangkok stuffed wings. And it’s annoying that you can’t get Evil Jungle Prince with beef which is the classic serving.
Little Bangkok is, in my opinion, the best Thai place in Knoxville, and one of the best Thai eateries anywhere. Their food is consistently delicious, and I’ve never been disappointed with the service.I recommend Little Bangkok very highly.
Anniversary Lunch. My husband found this place and took me there for our anniversary on a Sunday at lunchtime. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Plenty of selection for us; we do not eat meat. The servings were large; each of us brought home food, and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely plan on going here again.
Awesome lunch!. Had the sweet and sour soup as an app. Best s&s soup I’ve ever had. Went with larb kai salad and let me tell you it was fantastic. Really great service too! Reasonable prices as well.
