This is located in a strip center near the interstate. I’ve eaten at several area Mexican restaurants and I typically get Enchiladas Rancheros. This was probably tied for having the most pork, however I was not particularly impressed with the flavor of the meat or how it was cooked and the cheese inside the enchilada was even bland. My date had some cold unmelted cheese in her dish. Also, the salsa was very watered down and I’ve had the bean and cheese dip they serve here at other places outside this area, and it tasted way better. Overall the benefits here are large portions and competitive prices. My dish was 8.50. Staff was very friendly and the food arrived quickly.

Great tacos! Authentic Mexican style tacos. Homemade corn tortillas. Get the cow cheek taco… Amazing!Added bonus is the free queso and bean dip. It’s a great spot. Mexican food done right!
Love me some Taco Boy. The wait staff is excellent and very friendly. I saw the one review about the salsa and believe they probably got a bad batch. The salsa they serve now is some of the best in Knoxville. I like the fact that they have some authentic Mexican dishes on the menu, but the traditional choices are also very good. Overall value is excellent!
Good Food- Good Price. We ordered lunch to go. 1 Enchilada & 1 Burrito (chicken or ground beef) comes with both beans & rice. Also received complimentary chips & salsa. Lots of filling & very tasty! Looking forward to dinner from their authentic Mexican selections. While there I spoke with the owner, Lupe. A very nice fellow. He has over 30 years experience & I noticed there score from the Health Dept. (posted on the wall behind the cash register), a 97 🙂 Definitely worth the trip! Just off 40 at the Watt Rd exit :,
Went there last night for the first time and the Happy Hour was great, the food special was great. I thought the Salsa was terrible. I actually asked the staff if they made the Salsa or if they served it from a can. I looked around and no one else was really eating the salsa either. With as many Mexican restaurants in the area I would think that the salsa would be of major importance. Hopefully they just made a bad batch and next time it is better but it really tasted like they used tomato paste instead of tomatos.
Love it. We live near Taco Boy and are so glad we have discovered it. We think it is excellent and a great value for what you get. We eat there frequently. The employees are very friendly and it will be a great place to watch the World Cup this summer!
