Best Place in Knoxville. I’ve eaten at Bayou Bay a million times and I never leave disappointed!! I’ve tried almost everything and it’s all delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food in this location. Also they DO have a lunch menu and those prices are even better! Due to their menu being so huge, Bayou Bay never disappoints the picky eaters in my family. THey have chicken, burgers, and steak to accompany the seafood and cajun dishes. I realize that I am in TN and La so the dishes aren’t as spicy as they normally would be, but they offer Louisiana and Tabasco hot sauce, as well as blackening seasoning to spice the dishes up as you please. If you are looking for a unique and delicious place this is it!!! Also the service is excellent and very quick. I’ve even met the owners a time or two and both are darling! Please support this local business!!

Coming from a small town north of NOLA I know good seafood. I’d be surprised if these people ever have set foot in the state of Louisiana after eating here. The crawfish were tiny, frozen and rubbery. They tasted as if they had seasoning sprinkled on them and microwaved. The fried oysters were burned, the red beans and rice were bland and who ever heard of putting nutmeg in jaymbalya, yuck! They even messed up a simple hamburger patty.

Amazing Bayou Restaurant in our own back yard!. I have been a semi regular customer of Bayou Bay since they opened their doors. What first brought us in, and kept us coming back are their oysters. We would start our night out there splitting a dozen and a half 1/2 shells and a couple of cold brew’s, then we’d be off. But as the visits continuend, I explored more of the menu and it was amazing. not only was the service amazing, but the food was so fresh, and delicious. It will forever be one of my favorite places to eat in knoxville.

The WORST!. I am from New Orleans. I just moved to Knoxville about 8 months ago. I was so excited to hear that Knoxville had a restaurant serving authentic New Orleans food since I have been missing real seafood. Man, was I disappointed. I didn’t expect it to be just like home, but I hoped it would at least be close. What a joke. I have to wonder if the owners have ever even been to New Orleans. I ordered boiled crawfish and was shocked. I didn’t know it was possible to ruin crawfish so bad. They were boiled in plain water-very rubbery-NO flavor at all-and then they sprinkled some kind of seasoning on top of them. This is NOT boiled crawfish. They are supposed to be boiled in crab boil. We had a few other menu items, but we were completely unimpressed with all of it. The service was good, but the food was horrible. All I wanted to do was go in the kitchen and give them lessons. It’s just a shame for them to market themselves as serving cajun food when it’s not even close. You can’t just throw some spices on the food and call it cajun. I guess if you didn’t know any better, you might like this place. But, if you are looking for good seafood, don’t bother with this place! Also, very overpriced!!!

Extraordinary food for this part of town. Unique privately owned & operated establishment is clean, welcoming, family freindly, and comfortable. Great food for the value. Try some alligator or a crawldad sa’mich.

Bayou Bay is a fantastic restaurant! I’m from Louisiana, and the food is as close to home as it gets for Knoxville! Love it, and will miss it while in Afghanistan!
