Change is good sometimes.. I was thrilled when blue caost opened back up! Me and the co-workers had that itch that only blue coast could scratch! They now give out FREE GUACOMOLE with all drink orders. We were blown away and bought an additional large guacomole when we found this out. Me and my wife LOVE free guacolmole more than our dog, which was allowed to sit on the patio! having our drinks bought to us by some of the nicest servers ever was a treat! They even threw in a severed penis! The grilled panini went great with the coffee that was offered after my wife and i got totally toasted, talk about hanging loose!
I just wanted to say that Blue Coast is finishing up some major changes, the least of which is a huge renovation of the building, and will be re-opening soon. Give it one more try and see if Blue Coast Bar and Grill doesn’t become your favorite place in Knoxville!
What a turd. Not clean. Clueless staff. Go somewhere else.
Nice server, but such SLOW/BAD service! When the server actually remembered we were there, he’d forget to bring what we ordered. My friend never got her food, even after we asked twice…the same with the water i ordered and never got…I really don’t think I’ll be coming back and I definitely won’t be recommending it.
Life Lessons at Blue Coast. I wanted to say thank you for the inadvertent life lessons they allowed me to teach my kids while we visited this location on April 6, 2013. While we were there, we watched a number of customers leave that were disgusted by the poor service and overall quality of their meals – one person going so far as to loudly proclaim that the restaurant was, a rather crude receptacle of human waste. Normally, I would not have had cause or time to explain such behavior to my children, but, thanks to the three lunar cycles that passed between ordering and receiving our meal, I was able to describe in great detail how and why tact is important in public circumstances. In addition to the assist on life lessons, I wanted to say thank you for the entertaining drunk staggering from table to table; normally, you’d have to go to a pretty pathetic improvisational comedy act to get that level of ambiance during a dining experience. Finally, I wanted to compliment the wit and humor of our waiter who, while handing me the check, advised me that I should have another drink before looking at the total. Certainly, it was a bit steep for appetizers and drinks, but I’d consider it a bargain based upon the experience alone. I don’t know about anyone else, but if I’m ever in Knoxville again and have the option to visit Blue Coast or spend the afternoon smashing my face into a fire hydrant, I’ll absolutely consider the Blue Coast as a strong ‘plan B’.
Margaritaville!!. We went to blue coast for the margaritas..and stayed for the ambiance and food!!the fajita nachos are the juciest and most flavorful i have had!! no grease and wonderfully flavored..the margaritas are prepared by an experienced bartender that really LISTENED to what i wanted!!the patio was busy but our server was very attentive!!the food was fresh !!all in all our blue coast experience was enjoyable!!we are thinking of doing our office gathering there soon!!TRY IT!! 🙂
Service is bad but the food is good. I had the nachos with the spicy chipotle chicken and it was delicious. Sorta like Moes but different.
