I have mixed feeling about this place. I really like the location, decor and the idea of this place. From an aesthetic point of view I think they do a pretty good job of representing themselves. However, I have experienced inconsistencies with their food preparation and service, meaning it could be hit or miss. A few times we have taken guests here and it has been very good and other times it has been simply awful. If they could get the food to match the vibe of this place then it would be on point.
Pimento Deviled Eggs – neat idea. Not very flavorful. Couldn’t taste the pimento. Also had the fried clams. Breading had a little kick which was very good.
This place is fantastic, their baristas are beautiful and amazing. They’re extremely friendly and their service is phenomenal. Lucas was my server and he was the best server i’ve ever had. This place is the best place in market square. Whenever I went to the barista counter I couldn’t believe how friendly and great the people behind the counter were. This place is the greatest place on earth.
Really great breakfast. Highly recommend. Lunch and dinner are good, but not that great. Fairly average fare in my opinion. $5 burger day is a good deal though and a good burger.
My husband I went to have a nice date together. He asked for a medium rare burger that came out burnt to a crisp. He asked for a new burger and the server said that it would only be a minute to bring out a new one. I slowly ate my entire meal by the time he got his new medium burger. So he had to watch me eat while I watched him eat 20 minutes later. They offered dessert, but we still had to pay full price for our meals. They did not handle the situation like the should have.
Mary Edwards. I eaten at Cafe 4 a few times and the food was good. The last two times I have experienced some difficulties. I had made a reservation and my table was not ready after waiting 90 minutes. Evertime I would go check the wouldassure me in 30 minutes It would be ready, after three attempts I left.Again, my husband and I went last night to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. What a disaster. My husband called ahead to arrange for a roses to be sent to our in the table. They person who answered the phone (was told later out was an owner) told him she would be happy to get a fresh floral arrangement for the table in lieu of roses. My husband authorized $50 on flowers and she said she would do that for him. Got there, 3 plastic flowers in the table. Their excuse was they forgot. I oedered a ribeye steak and it was the all fat. I didn’t eat it and they discounted 50 percent. My server was excellent. The mangement needs a hard look.
Improved. Better now than when it opened. Great fish tacos!
