Ok but nothing special. Good for a crowd , ok food, nothing to get excited about
Average.. Good but not great. Ribs were tasty, steak was ok. Everything else kinda mediocre. If you like 70’s music, this is your place.
Sweeeeeet tea!!!!. I must say, this place has the best sweet tea in the area. Add an orange slice instead of lemon and away we go! The ribs are good, my salad was great. Burgers are …meh. Hit or miss. Nice place to go for a date night. Eat dinner then go for a stroll by the river. The bar area is noisy so I like to dine on the other side. Service is good, nice people. Overall one of the better places to go for casual dining.
Great Barbecue!. I was very impressed with Calhoun’s on the river. I had the cheeseburger with a house salad and macaroni and cheese. I should have ordered the barbecue, but my burger was cooked medium well, just the way I like it! Our seats were situated right by the window and we had a perfect view of the river. I had the strawberry shortcake for desert, which was delicious! I would definitely come again the next time I find myself in Knoxville!
Nice lunch. We went to Calhoun’s for lunch Sunday for lunch. The wait staff was professional and courteous. We were fortunate enough to sit overlooking the river, which was a treat.I ordered the Fresh Calhoun Chicken. It was very nice. The chicken was tender, and the BBQ sauce was good, but it could have used a bit more caramelization in my opinion. It was served on a bed of brown rice, and it came with coleslaw. The coleslaw was the best I have tasted in some time in a restaurant. Overall, very pleasant experience.

I don’t really like TN BBQ but my husband likes it, and he really likes Calhoun’s. I’ll happily agree to go here because I enjoy the southern-style side items. We always get great service, even when things are busy. The location is unbeatable!
