Only thing good about this place is the Guinness but thats pretty hard to mess up. Burnt potato spuds, cold mozzarella medallions, bangers and mash was just plain awful, as well as burnt fish and chips. Nothing like the real thing, we wont be coming back.
Went here for lunch and got the banger and mash. Didn’t like it. Perhaps I’m not a fan of this type of good? Also thought it was pricey. Willing to try it again though.
Always friendly, fast service at the bar. Great gluten-free sandwiches, especially the PB&J (pimento cheese, Benton’s bacon, and jalapeo). My husband really enjoyed the deviled eggs, beer cheese dip with pretzels, and the Reuben. Probably our favorite place downtown.
Great atmosphere. My friend and I met one evening after work and sat at the bar. We split a bottle of wine and enjoyed talking with the bartenders, who were all really friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive! They have a somewhat limited menu (apps, sandwiches, pizza) so I might suggest dinner elsewhere, but we did order sandwiches and they were good. This is a good place for atmosphere and enjoying bartenders who seem to actually like (and know about) what they do. I love it when the people who work at a place are actually fun to talk to. Clancy’s is right beside the TN Theatre, so would be convenient for a pre- or post-concert drink. Great place.
