Sunday and Wednesday night Burger special. It can be a little noisy and crowded during Peak College season but during the off times this is a great place to bring the family. The burgers are cooked to preference. The fries are always really good. We love consistency! You should know that the mac and cheese is spicy. And we can’t speak to most of the other menu items as we really just come for the burgers and fries. Service is above-average to good but not consistent especially during busy times.
The brunch gets a 5!!! It is pricy but well worth it. They have everything that you could ever imagine for brunch and it is a great balance of breakfast and lunch. Trust me when I tell you that you will not eat again the rest of the day. I’ve heard they are a good spot for dinner but I have not been yet.
I called to make reservations for our anniversary dinner. The young woman who took the reservation asked if we wanted to reserve the anniversary booth. She also asked what anniversary we were celebrating so she could put a personalized place card on the table. However, when we arrived, the hostess told us she didn’t know about our reservation and had seated someone else in the anniversary booth. We had a drink at the bar while we waited for the other party to leave. The bartender was friendly and professional. He was definitely the most (only?) competent employee we encountered. Of course, when we were finally seated, there was no place card. I realize that’s not a big deal, but don’t mention it if you’re not going to follow through. Food was decent overall, but not worth the money. I had the filet mignon, and my husband had the New York strip. It was quality meat, but I have had better tasting steaks for less money (including the steaks I cook at home). Pretty disappointing. Also, my husband’s baked potato was cold. They did bring him a new one, but he was almost finished with his steak by the time they brought a new one. The anniversary booth is a very small, round booth. I liked the setup, but our server was rather inattentive and slow when it came to clearing off our table, causing it to be extremely cluttered and awkward. The manager also approached us and didn’t seem to notice the extra plates. Also killing the mood were the warm temperature and unnecessarily loud 1970s funk music. I had high hopes for Copper Cellar. It seemed like the perfect place for a special anniversary dinner.Update: Talked to the GM. He was very professional and understanding of our complaint. Going to give Copper Cellar another try.
