Small portions/$$$/no sweet tea. The sandwiches and food are really good but portions are small and it is way over priced. I paid $10 dollars for a sandwich with a paper thin slice of banana bread pickle. The sides are 2 dollars and could fit in a shot glass. The also have unsweet tea only!! Big downfall for me….sorry. I totally support local small business and want to support South Knox, as I am a resident. Please fix these minor details.

Best Sandwich in Knoxville Area. People need to realize that the price includes sales tax. So what you see is the price you pay. They also don’t see the owner getting to the deli every morning at 3am to bake fresh bread every day. Or the 2-week long process of corning the beef.I’ve been coming here for several years and did not think i’d ever be able to return once the original owner had to close. Thankfully before his death, James trained a gentleman daily and taught him everything he knew.Jay re-opened in November of 2011 and it’s back to being the best lunch option in town. Three of my favorites…. Reuben, Italian, and James Dicks Favorite. If you’re not in the mood for those, the pitas with egg or chicken salad are a great lighter option. Everything is fresh!I try to eat here once a week, and I never leave unsatisfied. Give this place a try. I bet you’ll make it a staple.

Good, but overpriced. I had the hot Italian sub which was excellent, but kind of overpriced at $9.25 with no sides. I don’t mind so much paying that for good food though. What I did mind was the fact that they charge $0.75 for a cup of tap water. That’s pretty ridiculous, so I ate my sub with nothing to drink.

Delishious !!. This place is so good. You have to try it. The Italian Hot is the best sandwich I have ever eaten and I have been to some New York deli’s and a very famous deli in Cleveland Ohio. The bread is perfection, as is everything else. Don’t forget the sides. Potato salad, slaw, macaroni salad all exceptional. Give this place a try. You won’t be sorry. Saw someone else posted about go to Nixon’s or Lenny’s, ha ha, all I can say is that person must have lost their taste buds, cause there’s not any comparison. Frussie’s is on a whole different level of great!

If you were a fan of the original Frussies, you are in luck, because the new owner is doing things exactly like James did! This deli boasts 11different breads that are made fresh daily! Where else in Knoxville can you find that? I have had the hot Italian and the Reuben on Marble Rye (the corned beef is also house cured), and they were both out of this world. It’s a bit of a drive from West Knox, but I’m addicted! I make the trip as often as I can. Don’t walk, run, to Frussies to have the best deli experience of your life!

Terribly over priced. $10.25 for a turkey club sandwich that was the size of a sandwich on 2 small slices of bread similar to what you’d make at home. To say this was over priced is an understatement. The quality is fine (though not exceptional) but the prices are way out of line for what you get. You’re much better off going to Nixon’s or even Lenny’s which is a chain if you’re going to pay this type of money.

Hopefully, it will reopen soon, but Frussie’s is currently CLOSED.
