Food that was actually edible is sub par at best. I love squash casserole and was excited that they had it as a side, but when it came out the squash was grey in color and very watery.(not edible) The squash casserole was obviously previously frozen before service.(I only know because I too tried this at home with a left over Thanksgiving Casserole. Threw it straight in the trash). Also if u dont eat bacon/pork your pretty much out of luck at Knox Mason. Portion size is a bit small, but thats to be expected at high end establishments, unfortunately this restaurant is just attempting to play the part.(A poor portrayal to say the least) The last straw for my lady was after she ordered a fairly pricey glass of wine and they served it to her in small tubular water glass. The ambience and the chic downtown charm is the only upside I can find at this establishment. #MissedOppertunity
I found this place to be a complete disappointment. We were hoping to impress our out of town guest with some local flavor. What we got was overpriced, mediocre food and terrible service. They think very highly of themselves and do not live up to their ego. At all
Eh… not as impressed as I thought I would be. Overpriced and not nearly as high quality food as I expected. Price is not an issue for me if the food knocks my socks off, and this food did not.
I don’t understand the negative reviews of KM! It is the finest place to dine in Knoxville if you want great food prepared by a chef who knows what he is doing. Matt Gallaher has been a Chef at Blackberry Farms and Executive Chef for Governor Haslam at the Governor’s mansion…..preparing state dinners…..hello…. He left Nashville and opened Knox Mason. We should be so happy. The kitchen is immaculate, to food is to die for, and the service is friendly and impeccable. Knoxville get over your need for mass quantities of food and cheap prices! Go to Knox Mason enjoy a great dinner, with servers and bartenders, who are not rude as noted in some previous reviews. Maybe you were rude or just out of your league for fine dining. Hey on the upside the food is fantastic, the portions appropriate, and dining here you won’t have to work out extra because you didn’t go to an all you can eat buffet like most in this area appear to like! Knox Mason is quality dining for those who are able to appreciate that!
Very disappointed. I don’t like their menu, they’re too expensive and they serve a $10 glass of wine in a water glass! If they are so knowledgeable about adult beverages they should know the reason wines are served in the glasses made for them. They don’t live up to their own snobbery.
This place is a real treat. Not many places in Knox like this. Lots of care and flare. Delicious! Stylish! And great service.
100% Great Time! A+++. I don’t usually do reviews but I just had to do this one. I’m thinking the bad reviews on this restaurant is just someone trying to be malicious. We had dinner at Knox Mason last night and everything was great, the food, the service, everything. The waiter was one of the most attentive I’ve seen in quite a while. Everyone was super nice, super polite. This place is a gem and you’ve got to give it a try.
