Not impressed. I visited the restaurant earlier in the week. It could be that the buffet was more extensive in years past than it currently is, but I thought the offerings were very limited. It included items such as french fries and onion rings which might be okay if the rest of the buffet was more extensive. I would guess there were about 25 items on the hot bar. The taste and texture of the items I tried were sub-standard. I think if one were not too choosy, this buffet would be acceptable, especially at the price, currently $5.75. The booth seats had had rips taped together with bright red plastic tape, and the carpeting is very sticky in places. It’s not a bad-looking restaurant inside, but it has seen better days, and has a worn appearance. Also, in reviewing the state restaurant inspection scores, Oasis has had many more bad scores than good ones.My recommendation, after having eaten at many Oriental buffet restaurants, is to pass this one up. Drive to south Knoxville to Osaka Buffet on Chapman Highway instead. It is $2 more per person, but the taste, and quality, is far superior to that of Oasis. I’ve never had a bad meal at Osaka.
