Love the food, atmosphere, and location. HOWEVER, I often order a meal to go and find it rude when asked by the cashier if I want to leave a tip. This creates an unnecessary awkward experience when paying, and I don’t see any reason to tip for a $10 meal or any purchase for that matter when I personally picked it up to go. There was no extra service provided to deserve a tip. Please stop doing this.
Old school breakfast/lunch spot. Reminds me of that spot your grandpa took you to, great, friendly southern service. It’s NOT a foodie spot, good solid staples of the American diet, was a tad disappointed there weren’t some of the southern standards I’d kinda hope for in a place like this, but the food came out hot & tasty – eggs over easy, marble rye, home fries (hash browns) crispy bacon & grits.
Best in Knoxville!. I am originally from New York and was trying to find the best diner food…I have found it in Pete’s! They have been voted Best Breakfast for a reason and their biscuits can not be beat. Everyone I bring here instantly falls in love. I recommend Pete’s to everyone I meet. Their hours could be a little better but besides that I couldn’t ask for anything more!
