Awesome owners and food! You could not find any nicer people to feed you! Not just hotdogs, nice variety including soups, baked potatoes, nachos, bbq, etc. They cater as well!
Not only is the food here incredible, but the husband and wife team running the place are some of the nicest, friendliest and hardest-working people you will ever meet. They have a very small space in which to work, but somehow continually come up with creative and delicious daily specials that never disappoint. I work in the building where this place is located (800 S. Gay Street in Knoxville) and I eat there at least twice per week. I can’t say enough good things about this place and its owners. Don’t be fooled. Hot dogs (while amazing) are only the tip of the culinary iceberg at Primetime. One of my favorites is the BBQ Nachos. Yes – you read that right – BBQ Nachos. It’s a ginormous portion of tortilla chips covered with crazy-good pulled BBQ pork, nacho cheese, onions, jalapenos, olives, tomatoes and sour cream (if you desire.) So good you will want to wallow around in it! ALL of the soups, sandwiches, hot dogs and sausages are top notch. I have never been disappointed here and you won’t either!
For a quick and easy lunch Primetime is the place to go. I always get the two hotdog combo with potato salad and Dr. Pepper to drink, for just over 6 bucks you can’t beat it! Chris and his staff are super friendly and fast. They are located in the First Tennessee building all the way in the back, give them a try!
