Had a layover and wanted to get a quick bite. The hot dog with pork barbecue and chimichurri was a unique take. I enjoyed it immensely. I love trying different popcorn and always wanted to try it with white truffle oil. Such a different taste from coconut or canola oils. If I’m in Knoxville again, I’d be glad to go back.
Had a great time last night! It was our first time and we sure felt the love! It’s great knowing that people from all over the country can meet up and enjoy each others company!! We’ll definitely be going back! Go Hawks!
Refreshing bar just outside of downtown.. I love, love, love the Public House. Really great bourbon selection, best bar food in town, knowledgeable bartenders & a huge outside seating area. Strange location, but totally worth getting just outside of downtown.
A local bar feel, with a shot of class. It has a very comfortable feel that welcomes all. The staff is great, and ensured no one went unnoticed. A very well mixed patronage, from suits to shorts! Easily a place to call home.
Favorite new restaurant /bar in years…
A Knoxville gem. This place is awesome. Great music (not too loud), great atmosphere, great food and drinks. I love the spicy fava bean salad and their nice selection of beers on tap. The staff is nice, laid-back, and knowledgeable about their unique menu. If you want to have a relaxing, fun night talking with your friends, maybe meeting some new cool people, and eating and drinking well, go to the Public House. It’s just a short walk from the Old City/Market Square.
Truffle popcorn, charcuterie plates, beet dip, smoked trout dip, fava beans. A fabulous watering hole downtown. Good beer & wine lists with light fare to please vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Very affordable prices on high-end offerings. No TVs, no loud music – nothing to distract you from good drink, good food, and good friends. Check it out!
