The BEST petit fours and thumbprint cookies in all the land!. When I was a child I would always beg my grandmother to take me to Wade’s Bakery for thumbprint cookies. Unfortunately, Wade’s Bakery closed many years ago. I’ve searched bakeries near and far searching for these cookies and none have even come close…until…The Village Bakery! Best thumbprint cookies and petit fours, HANDS DOWN! I drive 50 miles to satiate my sweet tooth with their delicious confections!

Old School Bakery. Great little bake shop in South Knox…it’s easy to pass up driving Chapman Highway… Look for the retro Kay’s Ice Cream Sign & it’s in the same shopping area…limited variety, but they do have the best petit fours, thumbprint cookies & celebration cakes….very friendly staff !Baked Goods 5Atmosphere 3Service 5Value 4Overall 4
This is a horrible bakery. Cookies taste like flou r. Special ordered 2 dozen cookies thinking they taste better fresh and I tasted like plastic flour.
