Soooo Yummy!. Go for the food, the pianist in the background and THE FOOD. Especially excellent is the lobster & shrimp ravioli. Every part of my meal was brilliant. Lobster & shrimp stuffed ravioli with a very nice, creamy sauce and a small lobster tail & a few small shrimps on top. Could have used more pasta, but I couldn’t have eaten more, anyway. The calamari was light and tender (for squid) with a very good marinara sauce.The only thing I’d warn about, if you want a romantic evening with someone special, make sure you get a table in the main part of the restaurant. We were in a tight cubical (awkward) coarner with 3 other couple. We had to whisper and still ended up hearing what the other diners were talking about and were kinda forced to exchange some comments with them (again, awkward). I asked the owner/manager if we could move to the main part of the restaurant for a more intimate meal, but he said those tables had been booked earlier in the week. I wouldn’t go there again without making sure we had a little more space. All in all, I LOVED the good and the atmosphere. Just wish I could have had one of the nice, comfy tables. Do try this place!
We had a great experience at Angelo’s Bistro. We called ahead for a reservation and were accommodated immediately. The atmosphere was peaceful and calming, with a talented pianist playing jazz and popular hits on a piano in the corner that was gently miked throughout the restaurant. The food was delicious, from the calamari appetizer to the house salad with walnut dressing to the lobster and shrimp ravioli in creamy rose sauce to the delicious Creme brle and cannoli desserts. The food is somewhat expensive, but well matched to quality and taste. The ravioli was $23 but had lobster and shrimp in the ravioli and a full lobster tail and shrimp as well, and included salad, fresh bread and was all absolutely delicious. If I’m ever back in Franklin I’ll make a stop here, and everyone else in my party said they thought the same. It would make a nice romantic spot too, as the soft music and ambiance are great for conversations and relaxing. Though we didn’t have any of them, they did have a good selection of wine, beer and mixed drinks. The service was great as well. Overall as I said before, the experience was great and I would recommend it to anyone!
My husband and I had lunch here. Stacey was very attentive and the Sangria and Margarita and lasagna with toast points great! Angelo came to check on pur meal. We will go back.
Expensive but good. We were served by a very sweet lady – Leng. They are very accomodating and happily made adjustments to our meal. I found the lunch portions to be quite small and expensive. A fettucine alfredo was 10.99, and it took another $10 to add chicken / shrimp to it. 20.99 for a small portion of pasta was a rip off. Although I can’t complain because the food was excellent ! The mussels in white wine sauce, the bread, salad and the champagne dressing on the salad were delicious. I would go again for their Tuesday specials and if I get a good groupon.
EXCELLENT!! This place is in every way enjoyable. Beautiful & comfortable interior, Thursday-Sunday they have an excellent piano player, the food was divine (bread to dessert) service was flawless! And the always wonderful touch of the chef coming out to your table after your entree arrives is appreciated :)We arrived 15 minutes until close on a Thursday, and I cannot say enough how exceptional the service was!! Even with two Small children. I will be recommending this place to everyone that I know!!
I believe I have found my new favorite restaurant in Cool Springs. Excellent food, Great atmosphere, Warm furnishings & soothing piano music made for a very nice friday night dinner.
Never Again. BAD customer service. Bought a Groupon and called the restaurant to ask if it could be used the same day as purchase. Was informed by a staff member who verified my Groupon purchase using the bar code on the voucher, that I could use the Groupon the same day of purchase and did not need to bring in the hard copy of the Groupon voucher. Got to the restaurant and prior to ordering, informed the waiter-different staff than who I spoke with over the phone and that person was not available-of my telephone conversation. The waiter was aware of who I spoke to on the phone as well as the situation and confirmed ‘no problem’. Got to the end of the meal, another staff person who appeared to be management approached my table and questioned me about why I didn’t have the hard copy of the Groupon. I informed him of the telephone conversation with one staff person as well as face to face conversation with the wait staff. He informed me future visits would require the hard copy of the Groupon. As he appeared suspicious about the validity of my story, I asked our waiter to confer with him. The waiter did so but the alleged management person returned to my table a second time with a piece of paper in hand asking me to confirm my name and telephone number. Interrogation of customers is NOT a good way to conduct business. Proper business practice would be to contact the employee-who was easily identifiable- who initially told me via telephone that I could use the Groupon without bringing it in,etc to verify my story and leave the customer out of it,unless necessary. That is the respectful way to treat customers if you want them to return to patronize the restaurant as well as encourage others to visit. As the food was delicious and the wait and telephone staff were very nice, its a shame that this alleged management looking person lost a very good customer and I will definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.
