Good seafood in a nicer than average fast food restaurant. For those who aren’t from the area, Captain D’s has been around in TN for many years. It’s corporate office is in Nashville. When I was a kid, I saw little difference between the Captain D’s and Long John Silvers. Both were essentially fried fish and hush puppies. Fast food at their core.Nowadays, Captain D’s has gotten a whole lot better in my opinion. A few years ago, I caught an ad about their new grilled salmon and other healthy entrees. I was skeptical given the greasier food of the past. But, once we tried it, I was quite impressed. You can get a wild Alaskan salmon entree with two hot veggie sides for around $7. The fish tasted great and, for the money, it’s a great deal. Much better than other fast food options out there.Overall: I highly recommend Captain D’s Wild Alaskan Salmon (I prefer mine with corn on the cob and green beans). Great deal for healthy fast food.
