This has been the best Chinese food in middle TN since it opened. Unfortunately they have started cutting corners with the ingredients. Generals Chickens no longer nice chunks of white meat, but over breaded premade like cheap sweet and sour chicken. Also the dumplings are doughy and tough. A shame the new staff has changed the formula. We’ve tried 3 times recently and have been disappointed every time.
One of Franklin’s best kept secrets. Unlike most Chinese take-out places where the veggies are beyond over-cooked and the meat questionable, everything seems fresh. In fact this place has ruined other chinese places for me.
We have ordered from here many times in the past, successfully, yet the last three times have been infuriating. The delivery time is quick, but something is always lacking. A month ago, we ordered a 2ltr soda, which was paid for, but did not arrive. A few weeks ago, one of our orders was sesame chicken, and we received sweet and sour pork. Tonight, an entire order was omitted altogether. The woman who took our order quoted a total of about $21 for two orders, but only one arrived, costing $11.21. I called the restaurant, and the woman who answered told me that I was wrong, and it would cost a little over $7 for the other order. I refused to pay, stating that I had repeated the total of $21 back to her, and that she, herself, had confirmed it. This went back and forth until we were yelling, so I hung up. When it’s right, it’s delicious, but usually, only one of us gets the meal we ordered. We have decided to give up.
First off, I love this places food. But three times in a row the order has been very wrong. On all occasions we have paid for all of our food and have taken nothing for free. I wish these guys would get it together, because otherwise, the delivered product is great. Last 3 times: #1 – sweet and sour pork instead of sesame chicken. I just ate it. It was good. #2 no beverage delivered. Driver’s offer, free beverage next time. We called, after bickering, got a drink delivered. #3. We ordered 2 entrees and extra egg rolls. We had the order repeated over the phone and it was correct. $23 and change. Only one entree was delivered. When we called the women on the phone argued with my girlfriend about the order. We told them we would just split the one entree that was delivered and paid. Very frustrating.
Terrific. Best Chinese food in middle Tennessee!! General’s chicken, chicken and broccoli, pepper steak, roast pork egg foo young are among the dishes I have tried, and they are all excellent!!
I love this restaurant! The owners are very pleasant and the cashew chicken and egg rolls are great. My wife loves te moo shoo chicken. We always make a point of eating here anytime we are in town!
