Loved this place!. Saw the Cork and Cow on Kicks Brook’s Food Show and decided to give it a try. Our waiter Allen was very hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu. Ordered the Tomahawk and it was perfection! The dessert recommended by Allen topped off the meal with a palette pleasing yum! Excellent service and food. We will be back.

Food good but not worth the wait. We celebrated our 6th anniversary on a recent Thursday night with a 6:30 reservatuon. The spinach salad came out promptly but not the main course!I had asked for the pork medallions pan fried rather than charbroiled as I don’t care for those black marks on my meat; 45 minutes later we rec’d our food and the pork was tender and flavorful. The waitress apologized for the long wait, which was puzzling since the restaurant wasn’t completely full. My husband had dessert and coffee (which he said were very good) but certainly not worth the two hours it took for our meal; we won’t be back anytime soon!

Walked out, terrible experience. My wife and I went last night for my birthday dinner – I was expecting an elegant dinner. The seating was very cramped, the noise level was very loud, and we noticed that very few tables had received any food. After waiting for over 10 minutes for the wait staff to acknowledge our presence or for our water glasses to get filled. We left. Not sure we’ll be back. For the price of the menu, I expect excellent service. This was nowhere close to good.

Pricey but worth it. I never thought I would be okay with SOL closing but we absolutely love this place! Great service and great food! I would recommend the filet with a side of the Jalapeno mac n cheese! The best mac n cheese I have ever had!!It is truly a great dining experience and a wonderful edition to downtown Franklin. Just be prepared to spend about $150 for 2 people.

A worthwhile replacement for the infamous Sol.. First off-A confession. When I made my 2nd anniversary reservation at Cork and Cow-I had prepared to dine with my guard up. Jason McConnell who is the genius behind Red Pony, 55 South as well as the new Cork and Cow had taken my Sol away. I didn’t misspell that. Sol was the restaurant that existed in Cork and Cows building before the renovation. Sol was a gem. As a lover of Mexican cuisine and lavish deviations of that tradition-Sol was a go to and place of celebratory eating for my wife and I. I had no expectation that Cork and Cow could fill that hole in my heart. Although I still long for the Blue Cheese Flautas, tableside Guacamole and Habanero reduction sauce covered sirloin-Cork and Cow made an instant impression. First off, the gentlemen who waited my table was my usual attendant when Sol was still in full swing which provided some initial nostalgia. Based on wait staff alone-their level of culinary knowledge and professional service tops that of any eatery Ive visited in the middle Tennessee area (which is common with Jasons establishments). He then proceeded to bring out my cocktail order which was a classy take on the mint julep. I was taken back. For the main course-I wanted to shake it up a bit. Cork and Cow is known for their steak which has been applauded as nothing less than exceptional. For this reason, I wanted to try something seasonal from their changing menu. I ordered the Dry Aged Pork Chop and Polenta-classy old favorite. I ordered with a side of Mac-N-Cheese (applewood bacon and jalapenos served in a cast iron small bucket).I couldn’t believe what I was eating. Tender and delectable, I didn’t want it to end. Living in the south, you may have grown tired of the endless takes on Mac N Cheese. If food is invention than I believe Cork and Cows take on MAC is the wheel. The combination of the bacon and jalapeno injected so much smoky flavor into an already flawless casserole of cheeses and corkscrew pasta. There was more than enough polenta to share with my wife. Hands down best take on polenta in the area. As with Sol, I didn’t want the meal to end-however when it did and we had to leave, I had nothing but over the top complements for Jasons latest expression of his restaurateur genius.

Great dinner. Love the decor….a little urban southern style. Wonderful food….lovely salads…..I had the ravioli lasagna, my husband ordered a steak, and we shared a side of asparagus….it had a wonderful smokey flavor. We had wonderful service. Highly recommend….but you definitely need reservations, it’s a popular place….even on a Wednesday night.
