Stopped in for lunch and was very pleased! I had the Black Forest Ham & Colby Jack Panini for lunch and it was delicious. Great atmosphere. You should stop in for a sandwich!

Food was good, service was unbelievably bad. I received the wrong soup and came back to switch it. The lady working asked me to go try the soup I had first, and if I didn’t like it, to come back and switch it. Surprised, I sat down, and my husband encouraged me to stand up for myself and I have a food intolerance to the ingredients in the soup I received. So I went up again, she refused to give me a bowl of the soup I actually ordered and gave me a smaller cup portion instead. I will not go back!!! I am easy to please I couldn’t believe how rude she was!

I do enjoy the Soup/Sandwich Combo Lunch at Franklin Mercantile Deli, but you will pay a premium over a Pick Two Combo from a fast casual joint like Panera. ($8.50-10.50 for soup/sandwich) The tomato soup is good but a little sweet for me, but their bread and meat and cheeses are top notch. You definitely get a better quality meal than a chain. I also enjoy the atmosphere, with the cute tables and decor feeling very vintage and old-school. Go early for lunch so you beat the rush, as it’s popular downtown. I’d like to try their breakfast sometime! adventuresinaubreyland.com
