I’ve been there three times: brunch, lunch, and dinner. All great experiences. The big show burger is delicious! The brunch buffet was also quite good. It has a lively atmosphere but can sometimes be loud.
Consistently great food. I had the Bedda Chedda burger tonight- lots of cheese, bacon, and BBQ sauce. The service was great. They have an ambiance you can dress up or down.
Underwhelming service. There are just too many good restaurants in Franklin to put up with this.
Delicious and perfect with an exception. Had lunch there today. Brandon, our server was both cool and great. Flatbread pizza with prociutto and olives, delicious and perfect. Get it. Chopped chicken salad: delicious and perfect. Get it. Stout: delicious and perfect. Get it.Dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives….small olives, not a full glass…This distracted from an otherwise perfect experience and perfect food. Most people who order this kind of martini know what other places do….full glass, big olives…Otherwise, loved the place.
Disappointing Dinner. What a difference 6 months makes! Six months ago, Granite City was packed and hopping because it was fabulous. Two days ago, it was quiet! The service was mediocre: Several orders in my party were wrong and had to be sent back. The food was fair, but lost its pizzazz. In general, it was disappointing.
I wanted to like it….. My husband and I visited Granite City shortly after it opened. We really liked the atmosphere and the service was good. However, neither of us liked our meal…he had the meatloaf and I had a pasta special. We decided to give it another try last night and am sad to report our food was awful. We really wanted to like this place but walked away feeling like I threw a $50 bill out the car window. Such a waste of money. I had the walleye that was described as lightly fried…couldn’t be further from the truth. It was heavily battered and deep fried. Looked like frozen fish patties…tasted fishy, was chewy and not that hot. I don’t even think it was walleye…my husband had the Reuben and it was soggy….truly disappointing. I would have gladly shared my feelings….but there was no manager in site. Needless to say…we won’t be back.
It was a neat place inside. The food was really good, though I was skeptical after reading some of the other reviews. Everything we ordered was delicious. I had the adult Mac and cheese which was awesome and my husband had the meatloaf which was also good. The price was not bad at all even with my wine and a few beers. I would recommend it!
