Wino spot. LOVE this place! Great concept. I liked that they have a room for white and a room for reds. You can do wine tastings at your own pace, and if you find a wine that you like, order the bottle and sit out on the wrap around porch for great apps and entrees.
Food was good but I expected more wine selection.
Hmmm. If you like standing around the soda fountain at Subway or other fast food restaurants then you will love JJ’s.
Love this place!. My husband and I have been here several times for after work drinks and appetizers and we love it. The atmosphere is fabulous, super laid back and comfortable. The service is great. The waitress always remembers us. The concept is genius!! And the choice of wines is great. We have only had appetizers but they are above average. We love the Chips and Salsa and the French Fig. We can’t wait for out of town friends to come in as this is a top notch, different place to take them.
Love this concept!. Before meeting friends for dinner in downtown Franklin, we stopped by JJ’s Wine Bar a couple of nights ago to see the new concept everyone was talking about. We loved it!JJ’s is located in a house in downtown Franklin and there are 3 rooms in which you can have a glass of wine (or cocktail fromt the regular bar). You place a credit card on hold at front desk, pick up a JJ’s card and place in dispensing machine and then voila! you can choose any of the approximately 20 types of red and white wine. You can choose a 1 oz pour, a 2 1/2 oz pour or a full glass and the prices are right there on the machine. It’s really cool! In fact, just a couple of weeks ago they had scrumptuous and somewhat expensive Duck Horn Merlot, but most of the wines are less than $15 a glass. The menu includes several appetizers and food that pair well with wine. We had the excellent Big Dipper platter with fresh veggies and thin bread paired with excellent garbanzo bean Hummus. A couple of the rooms have couches that are perfect for conversation.
I loved this place because I have never been anywhere like this before!! It’s a great alternative to the typical bar scene. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. They have multiple red and white wine selections to choose from as a tasty menu. You actually walk around, choose your wine (either a taste size, half glass or full glass), and sit back down at your table. They have outdoor patio tables as well as indoor tables. Another detail I thought was useful were the cards they had to describe each wine along with what menu option the wine goes well with. Everyone was very friendly! Will definitely revisit this place in the near future 🙂
Great place for wine tasting. I went last night. The atmosphere was great. Super relaxed atmosphere. The server and owner both waited on us. Both great to speak with. Apps are great, about 7 good choices of apps that complement the wines. Great to have it in Franklin. Going back tonight. The owner told me that every couple of months they change out the wines, so if you get on their mailing list, they will send you an invite to attend the tasting and help select the next group of wine offerings. About 20 wines, tastings, but all for only $5.00. You can apply the $5.00 towards a food purchase if you want to. Great way to help them out an sample the new wine offerings. However, limited to 20 participants only.
