Nice location for deli / bakery but rather noisy lunch hour. Very casual and friendly staff. Excellent food – soup, salad and melts. Can get busy though..

Great coffee selection. Awesome baked goods. Pleasant atmosphere. What else could you want from a bakery? Sandwiches? Okay, they got those as well. Grog and Viking bread? Yep, that too. Since downtown Franklin is becoming the hip place to go Merridees has a tendency to get busy on the weekend so get there early. White chocolate raspberry scones recommended highly. Oh, and coffee.

My wife had been wanting to try this place a few times, so we finally dropped in. It had a really interesting atmosphere, with all the bread baskets hanging everywhere! It felt a little bit like walking into an old-time grocery store, actually. The line moved quickly, and our food came out shortly after we ordered. My egg salad sandwich tasted just like the ones my grandma used to make! Great experience all around.

Great lunch, but get there early!. This placed gets packed during lunch, and for good reason… the food is really good! I love the sandwiches (with delicious bread, of course) and the fruit tea. I think you’re best off hitting Meridee’s during peak rush in a twosome: one person secure a table, the other go order! There are multiple registers, so sometimes the line is a little wonky, but use that time to decide what you want so you can order quickly. People are nice. Once, when my order was forgotten, a server picked up my ticket and fixed the issue very quickly. Sure, I could have been upset that people after me were getting my food, but the server was trying her very best. And this is Franklin after all; if you want it to be fast like Panera, go to Panera. Meridee’s is best enjoyed and savored.Meridee’s is a sweet little gem. I really like the apple bacon panini and fruit tea. I prefer coming in when they’re a little less busy, but when you do that, you risk them being out of some of the items you want, as everything is fresh daily. adventuresinaubreyland.com

Amazing food & great atmosphere. Merridee’s is one of the best places I’ve ever had lunch! My friends and I ate there several months ago when visiting Nashville, and I still can’t stop thinking about the amazing chicken salad and their homemade breads. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the food was superb. I’m heading back to Nashville this weekend and can’t wait to go back and take my mom! Such a wonderful place!!!

Merridee’s Breadbasket Lunch. Here on vacation and wanted to eat at a local restaurant rather than in Nashville. After an internet search we decided Merridee’s Breadbasket would be a great place. We drove through Franklin, which is like a picture from a movie with the quaint shops lining the streets, people pushing strollers, lady’s in their hats, and people on the street enjoying the great weather with friends and family. We parked on the street, walked to the restaurant and were a little surprised there was a long line to order, this confirmed it must be a good place to eat. The menu has a large selection of sandwiches, soup, and salads perfect to suit the hungry appetite without weighing you down for an active day of site seeing. The line moved quickly the order was taken, other baked goods were purchased and lunch was served. The Parmesan, tomato bread was delicious with the Ultimate Club and the Tortellini salad was delicious. We were not in a hurry, we are on vacation, so we enjoyed the charm of the building, great food, and atmosphere. It was great to experience the local area around Nashville. If you want a good, affordable lunch this is your place.

I would never come here again. The food was good. The drinks where cold and took three attempts to being the drink we ordered. The service left a bad taste in my mouth. Having never been here before I walk away disappointed in the wait staff and would never recommend nor come back to this establishment again. No food is worth the horrible and rude service we experienced.
