had a 7:45 reservation. We were seated immediately. We were attempting to place our order at 8:00 as we had studied the menu online, and we told they were OUT of oysters. Therefore, we could not order many items on the menu. No oysters at an oyster bar. Very disappointing! The entire reason we came here was for the oysters. Now our options are to stay and eat something we don’t really want or attempt to find another restaurant with oysters at this hour (not likely). The server was nice and very apologetic. This was definitely an indication of inadequate management.
Loved Puckett’s original shop, so I had to try this with my parents. As Midwesterners, we adored the atmosphere-feels truly Southern. The fried green tomatoes were to die for (those Puckett’s cheese grits though), and I sweat we were snacking on the leftovers from my Dad’s fried seafood sampler basket for like 3 days. We’ll be back, for sure,
Stopped by here Saturday night around 7:30 pm with my girlfriend. Even though it was very busy and there were some people waiting, they got us seated in under ten minutes at an inside table within hearing range of their live music guy. Took a while to get service, maybe fifteen minutes, but the waitress (Anna) was amazingly polite, pleasant and communicative for such a busy night. After we ordered, our water was brought immediately and our food was brought within twenty five minutes. I ordered a chicken dish and it was excellent. My GF also had a good report. Great micro-brewed beer.
