Extremely Nice Staff. My wife and I came here for our 10 year anniversary. They gave us great seats (in front of the kitchen window). A friend of ours had secretly called and pre-arranged a glass a champagne and an appetizer. The restaurant went the extra mile and threw in another appetizer on the house! I had wood grilled tuna and my wife had the shrimp and grits which was amazing. I found myself eating off of her plate! I tried a bite and I just wanted more and more! Staff was awesome and extremely professional. Overall great experience and I highly recommend this place. By the way, we watched the kitchen staff and we never saw anything that would raise a red flag. They are good.18 Aug, 2014Awesome place. It was ok. I’m not a huge tuna fan but wanted to try it. Best burger ever. We had dinner at Red Pony Thursday night. We started with the homemade guacamole….it was amazing…..definitely a must order. I had the hamburger….only 15 made a day. It may be the best burger I’ve ever had. The ground steak was moist and so flavorful. It was topped with a homemade tomato/onion jam. It was a little spicy but amazing! We shared a piece of the coconut cake….it was the best coconut cake I’ve ever had! I love Red Pony….always try to have at least one meal there when I’m in Nashville…..you should too!
Can’t say enough good things about Red Pony. Great food, cool atmosphere, great bourbon list. Kung Pao calamari steaks were outstanding.
Great Restaurant in a Very Cool Little Town. My wife and bought a bunch of apps as we often do in new to us restaurants. All apps were spot on but the break out incredible app was the braised short rib with an over easy egg on toast with cheese curd. Wow, what an incredible starter. The Tennessee Tapas were great as well, heck they were all great. Bartender was first rate as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Food is good. No air conditioning downstairs. Too uncomfortable to enjoy.
The Red Pony is a great restaurant and is one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Franklin. Be sure to ask for Lisa, as she is a great waitress. She always gives excellent wine and meal suggestions, and is very personable. I definitely recommend Red Pony!
All around great experience. My mom and I came in from out of town and found this place online and we’re so glad we did. We had a late reservation and the place was still seating well after us. The food was amazing and the service couldn’t have been better. Great experience and we’ll definitely be back next trip to Franklin.
