I had heard good things about this restaurant. Dont let the look of the location dissuade you. The food here was top notch. The sushi was tasty and fresh, with inventive combinations.
We were excited to try a new sushi restaurant for our date night. The reviews were great, but I would have rather had 3-day old sushi from Kroger. Seriously…the automatically put crunchies in the rolls to avoid the taste of the fish. The sashimi crunched…enough said. Terrible service.
Well, we went there last night and were never never waited on. We got our waters. But no one ever came to take our orders. After 20 minutes we walked out, especially after the couple behind us was served before us, when we had actually been seated first.
Wonderful service, excellent sushi, and peacefull atmosphere.. Shiki Sushi is fairly new I believe, but I think its one of the best sushi/Japanese restaurants in Franklin. The service is excellent and the staff and sushi chefs are making sure I am 100% satisfied. I usually come in at lunch for the all-you-can-eat made to order sushi for 11.99$. Good selection of your basic rolls, nigiri, and about 4 chef special rolls. Its in a little corner up a small strip mall, you don’t really know what to expect until you walk in. Its extremely peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Extremely clean everywhere. Great dining experience. Thank you and don’t go anywhere!
I am happy that I came across Shiki Sushi, located right next to the Franklin Police Department on Columbia Ave. I decided to give it a try after having read all the good reviews on the internet. Once inside, I was greeted by smily faces and they all were very polite and helpful. I ordered Tuna Dumpling as my choice of appetizer. Yes, it is a giant dumpling with avocado, shrimp and mango, wrapped inside fresh tuna. Tuna dumpling is by far, my favorite appetizer among all others I have tried at different sushi places. It is very healthy, refreshing and simply delicious! I ordered Samurai and crazy horse rolls as my main course. Samurai is all fresh and raw fish with avocado and crazy horse is a deep fried roll with crab, shrimp, cream cheese and inari (bean curd). Wow, they were the best rolls I have had in a very long time!!! Overall, I am very pleased with my experience at Shiki Sushi, and highly recommend it to others.
Wonderful restaurant!. My husband and I have eaten here several times by now, and everything has been very fresh and flavorful. We have tried several of the rolls, miso soup, the bento box, and teriyaki. The staff is very attentive and friendly.
