Next time, I will try some other Mediterranean restaurant…. I work across the street from the Franklin location, so I figured for lunch I would give them a try some time. Today, I placed a to-go order for chargrilled lamb with potatoes and a greek salad, and I also got an appetizer of hummus. Instead of the soft and seasoned lamb I was expecting, I got some type of unseasoned, chewy beef, which was a huge bummer since I was craving the lamb. The Greek salad would have been good if it weren’t for the mushy red bell peppers that came from a jar, and the potatoes tasted like the person who roasted them heavily dropped the lemon juice in instead of measuring it out properly. The saving grace of the meal was the hummus, but for twenty bucks I will go to some other Mediterranean place next time.
Terrible service!. Went in tonight for to go order.. Drive home and both dinner orders were completely wrong! One had potatoes instead of rice and the other was beef instead of lamb! So frustrating!!
Yummy. Got takeout for the first time tonight. I ordered the Greek salad gyro with grilled chicken with a side of pasta salad. The pita bread was amazing. Next time I will try the chicken gyro because I want to try the taziki sauce. I was very pleased with not only the taste and quality, but also the value. A lot of food for $8!!
Big Disappointment. I read the reviews and thought we would give it a try last night . As far as service there basically was not any. We walked in and really did not know what to do. No one said anything. We then realized you go up a line, place an order and sit down. That’s fine but seems to me the way they do it is off putting. The young lady taking orders was very rude. The food came and it looked a mess and was not good. I had the Dolmates Plate. The grape leaves were so tough I couldn’t eat the. My husband had the Chargrilled Lamb. He said it was overcooked and tough. No one ever checked on us. It was just not a pleasant experience.
Stands out in a crowd!. The Cool Springs area has a LOT of restaurants to choose from, and many of them offer passable fare but not much else. I tried Taziki’s yesterday for the first time, and I have to say I enjoyed my meal more than any I have eaten in a long time! The food is very fresh and really tasty – flavored with herbs and spices, not an overload of salt like so many places do. I will go back again and I would definitely urge anyone to give it a try!
Good, but slow. I came in today to order something to go back to my office b/c it was my first visit. I waited for a good 20 mins to find out that my order was just sitting there. I finally went up to the counter and asked if that was mine and the girl was like, oh yeah it is! sorry! Then when I took the food back to work to eat it, I found that it was really tasty until I bit into 2 bones in my roasted chicken pita wrap. Overall, I think the taste is there, but the service and attention to detail needs to be examined closer.
Tasty food. Had the hummus and chicken tomato-pesto with the cucumber tomato salad. All very flavorful. Suggest the hummus have a little olive oil on it.
