We arrived in the Gatlinburg area, and were looking for a place to eat after settling into our cabin. Hubby stumbled across The Greenbrier while looking at a travel app, so we decided to try it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was right up our alley, and the service was excellent. The food was a bit pricy, but the servings were more than enough, and the food was very tasty. I must rave about the Grilled Vegetables, which were some of the best I have ever had. The only issue I had was with the side salad that came with my meal. The greens were very fresh, but it only had lettuce, tomatoes, and croutons. I just believe that if a place is going to charge that much for a meal, the side salad should have more to offer. I would still recommend this restaurant as it is unique, and overall the food was good.
I’m a local who absolutely loves this place. My husband and I try to go about 4 or 5 times a year, usually on special occasions. The French Onion soup in delicious but I could make a meal on the Twice Baked Potato alone. The staff have been in place for years and it seems like coming home each time I go there. Don’t let all the negative reviews scare you off from this hidden gem. You’ll love the views and you’ll love the food.
We loved it!. Some European charm on top of the ridge, nestled in the trees. We enjoyed the food; it was amazing. The perfect anniversary dinner. Reasonable prices.
Worst meal in gatlinburg. I had the prime rib. It was tough cold and under seasoned. The side was a baked potato that was not even cooked thru. And the salad was the smallest of all of ours at the table. We all had the same salad and none if them were the same size. The wife and I had eaten hear three years ago and it was wonderful. But now i will never come back.
We love it! Great food, prices, staff and atmosphere. We eat here every time we are in town at least once if not more! Everyone needs to learn the history of the place.
Overpriced, outdated decor…didn’t like it from the moment we walked through the doors.
I’m sure at some point this was the place to dine and it could be again, with a lot of changes.Disappointed is all I can offer, it wasn’t an off night for them in anyway. The food was average, drinks average, atmosphere…very dated.Skip it.
