A trip to Gatlinburg isn’t complete without a trip here. It’s small and quaint but you won’t find a better Reuben, frankfurter, sauerkraut around !
Disappointed kids. My 7 and 9-year old children love to try cheese from different countries and were so excited when we found the Cheese Cupboard. We planned our day to ensure we would arrive at lunch time to eat and then purchase some cheese. After we spent $50 for 4 sandwiches, the restaurant was a little pricey, we went downstairs to each select a cheese. To our dismay, we were informed of their policy that the four of us would only be allowed 1 sample, not one sample each, but 1 between the 4 of us while trying to decide which ones we wished to purchase. Unfortunately, my children do not have enough experience to know which ones they would want to purchase. So we did not get the opportunity to experience their cheese selection, and my children left very disappointed. The Cheese Cupboard was not welcoming and the customer service was very poor, we will not return.
Best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had. Make it a point to go every time I’m in Gatlinburg. Awesome, cozy atmosphere and friendly owners. Favorite place in Gatlinburg!
The Reuben was great!
Get the reuban. This place has been around a while and us easily the best Reuben in town. Not the best value, but very good. Atmosphere is funky 1970s and I hope it never changes. I usually make a stop about every trip to Gburg, its like an old friend.
Terrific reuben…try the spicy mustard & horseradish on it. served by a surly older german woman that might reward you with a hint of a smile if you compliment her cooking. Really, her indifference is part of the charm.
