Chili dogs were great.
The best. I’ve been vacationing in gatlinburg since about 1979, used to walk to parton’s deli with my grandfather. I usually stop in two or three times on every visit to the smokey mountains. This deli has the best chili dogs I’ve ever had, the deli sandwiches are all made fresh to order. The owner is always there and he is super friendly. I’ve been known to plan my vacations around their hours. I won’t go there for vacation over Labor Day holiday because they close that week. This little deli is well worth your time on the other side of town.
There is a reason for them being in business in such a poor location for so long.. Sandwich shop with great sandwiches. Everything is fresh and hand sliced. They have a great reuben and a wonder roast beef sandwich. But take cash because they do not take credit cards.
Don’t expect anything fancy, kind of pricey for what you get. If someone would open a gourmet picnic supply shop in gatlinburg they’d be in high demand….
