TERRIBLE FOOD – MEDIOCRE SERVICE. The restaurant is decorated like a blast brothel from the 70’s. It’s covered in wood paneling, crooked pictures, and cellophane covered cakes – the soundtrack is stereotypical 70’s disco hits. We ordered our food. The salads were made with old iceberg lettuce, wilted and soggy. The dressing was made from oil with some salt and pepper. I ordered the eggplant parmesan. It came with a large side of spaghetti with marinara. I took one bite and couldn’t take another. The eggplant fell apart. It had the consistency of mushy beans. It was like it had been sitting in pond water for a day. I got my server and complained. She sent over the manager. Once I told the manager my issue she DEFENDED the eggplant, saying it was the way they made it for years and that it was good. I was SHOCKED that a manager would defend that food. I can understand if it was another take on the eggplant Parmesan but it wasn’t. It was just mushy, bad tasting garbage – AND SHE WAS DEFENDING IT. They should rename that restaurant to Strombolio Garbagio. I’m serious. It was that bad. I got my bill discounted and refused another dish and left once I paid. The rest of my party complained about their food as well. They stated that the food was frozen, tasteless and worse than a polio outbreak. Not to mention, they will attempt to charge you $20 per frozen entre and if you want marinara sauce they will charge you $1.00 more. Also, the service is terribly unprofessional. They run through the restaurant loudly laughing and tickling each other. They often wreak like cigarette smoke. SCAM. RIP OFF. TASTELESS. GARBAGE. Don’t go if you appreciate your tastebuds and have any self respect.
Don’t get me wrong, the pizza is good, but DON’T make the mistake of ordering a 1/2 & 1/2 pizza. I ordered a half deluxe, half pepperoni. I figured I’d be charged an average of the two prices, or at most, the price of a deluxe. WRONG. I was charged the cost of a deluxe, PLUS they charged me additional for the pepperoni on the other half! Crazy! Because of that, the one pizza, by itself, was over $32. Ridiculous.
One word. Awesome. We had veal florentine, spaghetti and meatballs, clam linguine, and a calzone. All were excellent! The garlic rolls are addictive!
Came here very late in the evening and the place was packed, but the hostess still made accommodations for our party of 5. This place has great outdoor seating beside the creek and the lights strung between the trees create great atmosphere. The pizza was good, but a little lighter on sauce than I like. They have a large selection of toppings and their prices aren’t bad either.
As always, excellent! Service a little slow this time.
Great food!. Italian food is my favorite, so I tend to seek out the best options. My family walked in on an extremely busy Saturday & were seated right away. I think maybe because they are located in one of the side street shop centers on the parkway. It is a bit pricey to feed a family of 5, but worth every dollar we spent. Great marinara sauce, pizza, calzone-and don’t get me started on the garlic rolls, covered in parm cheese, garlic and sitting on top of olive oil. Delicious! Avoid the main street lines and try.
