Delicious!. While staying in Gatlinburg for the weekend my husband and I decided to have some of this pizza delivered to our cabin. The delivery guy was fast and super nice and the pizza was amazing! The dough was so light and fluffy and the pizza sauce was soo good. It was so good we decided to skip breakfast and eat the leftover pizza for breakfast instead! Will definitely order from here again!
Best pizza EVER!. I have eaten here twice, and both were excellent experiences. I know so much of food is up to personal taste, so I will describes this as best I can. The dough was soft and warm, just right between thick and thin. The sauce is leans a hair towards the sweet side, so good. The amount of cheese left nothing to be desired. The only thing I would criticize is I would have liked more toppings, not that they were lacking compared to others, I just like a lot of toppings. On top of the great pizza was excellent customer service. Great job Volunteer Pizza in Gatlinburg!
I am very sorry, we accidentally had Big Bear Pizza delivered:( Volunteer pizza is awsome! Big Bear Big Hair!10 Nov, 2013Finally showed up 3hrs later….. I would rather eat ball with meat!10 Nov, 2013Do not ask for delivery! They will never make it! Totally a joke. Just Go to Best Itallian.
Don’t waste your money with this place! First we were going to place an order for a pizza, subs and salad but were told they were out of subs and salads. So we settled on 3 pizzas: plan cheese, meat lovers, and supreme. Placing the order at 7:30, we were told it would take 1 hour for delivery. After 90 minutes I called to see how much longer it would be. I was abruptly told that the delivery girl was on her way. We are less than a mile away so after another 30 minutes my wife called and was told they had the wrong address on the ticket. Finally, after 2 hrs 10 minutes the delivery girls show up at the door. As you can imagine the pizzas were cold. But on top of being cold, the meat lovers and supreme were both burnt around the outer 1/4 of the pizza. Since we had children who were beyond hungry by now, we didn’t even want to go through the hassle of calling back to complain or have the issue rectified. The pizza themselves were nothing special and even with the type of toppings were pretty bland, dull and uninspiring. Never thought I would say that about pizza!
Delivery in the Smokies!. You saved me Volunteer Pizza! I am writing this review to thank you for delivering real food to my family in our cabin, without us all having to go anywhere or get dressed up. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Okay, we had:1) Pizza: We had one side veggie and the other side with meat. Really good sauce and cheese. Toppings good. The crust was good, but a little soft in the middlIe, I think because of the veggie toppings, but still great overall. The crust was good, like it had butter on it.2) Calizone: Huge! It’s like a pizza, all folded up into a sandwich. We had mushroom and it had a lot of cheese and sauce in it. Yummy. 3) Wings: My favorite. Big, charred like it was cooked in a real oven at home, and saucy. I would have liked it more saucy but that’s because I like a lot of sauce. Good ranch on the side. The lady on the phone said they make the wings themselves. 4) Submarine Sandwich: Okay, we ordered this as a weird oddity, amidst the pizza extravaganza and I must say i was surprised at how good it was! You wouldn’t expect a pizza place in the Smokie mountains to make a good sub, but the bread was fresh and the ingredients good and the cheese was melted and still warm when it got to my cabin. What more can you ask for? Finally, I don’t want to get involved in anyone’s bad reviews, but you have to take delivery in a tourist area in stride. This place has real food. Do you hear me…..real vegetables and tasty meats and cheeses delivered right-to-you. It’s pretty cool and my experience was great, not perfect, but I usually only find perfect when I do it myself.
SOOOOO PEPPERONI-Y. So my wife and I went our honeymoon and ordered this pizza, delivery. It was perfectly cooked, salted, buttered and just the right amount garlic, cheese, sauce, and most importantly, PEPPERONIS.SOOOO MANY PEPPERONIS. We lost count trying to count them! And the person, James Henderson, who works for Volunteer Pizza and Subs really takes pride in his job and loves nothing more than making the customer happy! LOVE THIS PLACE23 Dec, 2011Ordered pepperoni pizza, delivery. Service was friendly and fast but the pizza was horrendous. Doughy, soft, undercooked bread that made up 90% of the pizza. I kid you not…my wife and I counted the pepperonis on the pizza…3. Total. 3 pepperonis on the entire pizza. Horrible.
Hand tossed perfection. I expected the usual bland tourist food so common in Gatlinburg and was pleasantly surprised to receive a pizza at the door of my cabin ( not sure how they found me since it took me 2 hours to find this cabin), and it was delicious! Right on par with Mellow Mushroom except cheaper and delivered. Really friendly driver with great attitude ( I would have been grumpy just having to brave that mountain). very fresh tasting crust and very cheesy. Highly recommended.
