I’ve heard great things, but the hostess was very rude. Whichever hostess works on Saturday night, I wouldn’t go there at that time. I’ve heard the food is good though!
Very disappointed in the meal I just received. Asked for an extra crispy pizza and got a soggy cold pizza in its place. Only live 8 minutes away so there is no excuse. Sad when you get home and have to put your food in the oven after paying $25 dollars for a pizza. Most likely the last time I will order from them.
Used to be good years ago. One word. Sysco. Veal patty frozen.
Not a good experience at all…just ate there tonight around 630 in Saturday..was seated immediately but then asked to move by hostess after we were seated because the table was reserved. It took a while before waiter even came over to take drink orders..not personable at all..received drinks and ordered food…I ordered vodka penne and my guest ordered fett Alfredo…food arrived and I had to send mine back because it was not hot…it was a few minutes and it was returned ad still just warm! Both dishes were so bland we could not put enough salt on them to taste! Waiter did not ask how it was…not a good experience and we won’t return…I always tip a minimum of 20%…but this was the first time I did not.. It wasn’t waiters fault that food was cold but service was bad!
Average Italian food, way way overpriced
Expected more!. I really looked forward to trying Brooklyn Bridge since I prefer local establishments over chains, but there was nothing remarkable about our visit. At $20+ per entree the side salad was the high point, while the bread was standard store bought italian and the dipping oil had less flavor than tap water. I had the Filleto e Gamberi Fernando which had a fillet comparable to Ponderosa/Ryan’s and a pasta sauce that did not compliment the plate at all and was actually very bland. My wife’s Pollo di Florentina was tolerable but could have been made at home by my kids. The Tiramisu amounted to a bowl of whipped cream with some breadstick-like pastry at the bottom with absolutely no hint of espresso or any other flavors. The service was average for a low-end establishment, but for the prices there didn’t seem to be any emphasis on customer service – although this is widespread problem I’ve encountered since relocating to Memphis.
Will Return. We don’t usually go out for Italian because it always seems so expensive for the portion you get. But on a recent quest and craving for some good Italian, we set out to explore. As to not mention other restaurants we went to, all we can say is Brooklyn Bridge was the best. We were greeted promptly, seated immediatly (Sat. eve. @ 6:45) and served with drinks and apps. in a timely manner. The entrees were more than any of us could eat and we all went home with leftovers. I was impressed with everything overall and will definitly return.
