Honest place. Good service & food. Definitely a good place for having breakfast and light lunch.
Best bagels for 100 miles. City East is the only restaurant in Memphis that properly makes authentic bagels. That is the reason I visit them every time I’m in the area.The decorations are nice but dated. The whole restaurant is a little run down.The food is good. The bagels are very good. The wait staff is friendly.
You can do better. Wrong order brought to table but no one returned to ask about it. Food was cold. Service was slow. There are better places for b’fast in Memphis.
Needs New Management. City East Bagel has been one of the few places in Memphis that offers a quality bagel. Unfortunately, their operating hours and their limited selection makes it very difficult to enjoy any of your favorites. I’ve visited several time in the last few months, always right around 7:15am, and the number of selections available at the time is a joke. Today I walked in and there where wheat and everything bagels. NOTHING ELSE! After asking about the selection, the employee responded that the bagels are ready and that they are bringing them out slowly! NO KIDDING! For a place that is ONLY open 7 hours every day, maybe they should have a full offering ready when the doors are open. Just a thought and hopefully the management can turn this place around. As far as I’m concerned, I WILL NOT GO BACK!
This place has an amazing breakfast. Their bacon skillet breakfast is one of the best breakfast’s I’ve had anywhere. 2 thumbs up!!
Great waitress, good food, good price. Bagel chips with pickles are different & surprisingly really yummy. Fresh food!
Excellent food. Great service. Highly recommend the sausage skillet. Very hearty meal and priced just right. Oh, and the coffee is great too.
