We went to Flemings for my first time on Valentine’s Day. Even on an exceptionally busy night, the food and service were both exceptional! My husband and I both chose the special valentines menu… He had the scallops, house salad, petite filet topped with crab and blue cheese, and lobster! I had the same except salmon instead of Lobster. The steaks were divine. We finished the meal with the special Valentine’s dessert, s’mores cheesecake. It was great as well. I will definitely be back!
Exceptional Food And Service. The experience you get when visiting Fleming’s is definitely worth every penny you spend. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance and the staff are all the epitome of what exceptional service should be. Very polite and helpful; I was impressed that our server went around our table taking custom orders without ever having to write anything down (and trust me there were some difficult orders), and not a single one came out wrong! The server remembered who had ordered which item, also. Very impressive! The food itself was divine. The steak was the most tender cut I had ever eaten, well-seasoned with great flavor. The steamed green beans were obviously fresh and also had a delightful amount of seasoning on the. I highly recommend Fleming’s as a romantic and fine dining experience.
Perfectly Cooked. I finally got to try Fleming’s for the first time during a sales lunch last week. I got the filet medium rare and it was perfectly that. The only place in town that has a better steak is in my back yard!
Had a quiet Independence Day dinner with the family. The food and service (thanks to Benjamin) were both excellent.
Just isn’t worth it. Went there tonight, a Saturday, the table was ready as we arrived and the restaurant is nicely decorated if not a dimly lit. Biggest complaint about the design of the space is that they have an open kitchen to the main dining area. This makes for a very noisy, hard to hear dining experience. As for the food, I had the NY Strip that really only tasted like salt and pepper. It didn’t have much of a steak flavor at all. $45 for a steak that doesn’t taste like a steak is what anyone would call a bad deal. I ordered it rare and it came medium rare, but I didn’t send it back as I tend to expect steaks to be over-cooked and am ok with medium rare. A side of fries which were twice cooked, dried out and slightly burnt with no seasoning was seriously not worth $1 let alone $9.50. The service was really good although no-one inquired as to why I only ate 1/3 of my steak and 1/4 of the fries. Took it home in a doggie bag and that will be literally for the dog. He’ll enjoy it while I didn’t. Pretty lousy for a $$$$ steakhouse.
Burned steak. I have always loved Flemings . Its expensive and has been worth it……however the last time I went it was terrible. We had a party of four and a $350 bill. My steak was burned to a crisp and dry. When one pays the price Flemings charges they should be able to and can cook a well done steak… it simply takes time. When asked about my steak which was long after it was served the waitress offered to cook another but by then everyone would have been finished eating. It was not taken off the bill and a disappointing meal.
My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day. First of all, we received an email inviting us to reserve seats and we would get a $25 gift card redeemable within a month. We didn’t receive it. We didn’t ask because we knew we would not be able to return. Still, it would have been nice if it had been offered as indicated.Pros: service was excellent! Very attentive and knowledgable. The manager made sure our steaks were properly cooked as soon as we got them. The steak may have been the best I’ve had. I loved the chimichurri sauce. The wine selection was great. I had a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. Best glass of wine I’ve ever had. Caesar salad was best caesar I’ve ever had. They prepare it in a unique way that makes the flavors very bold.Cons: The seating and the atmosphere. We wanted a romantic dinner but it was very loud. We sat in one of the tables in the middle of the room. The layout doesn’t yield much privacy. We could hear all the nearby conversations and there were waiters walking all around us. I didn’t like any of the sides. I believe we had mashed potatoes and the spicy Mac and cheese. My husband loved the macaroni, but I thought it was cold and not very spicy.
