Where’s the lunch crowd?. I often wonder why it is myself and just a couple of other folks eating here for lunch at times. The sushi isn’t the best in Collierville, but it is profoundly good.31 May, 2010Give it a Try. My recent sushi kick has led me to Kroger, Schnuck’s, and Fresh Market quite often lately. Having gotten tired of those, I hit up Fuji Cafe twice in one day then Sekisui the next. I went for lunch on a Friday and was the only one there at 11:30am. There was one other party of two there when I left about 40 minutes later. Given the service and how good the sushi was, I could not explain the light crowd. My only complaint was that I didn’t get a complimentary cup of miso soup or a hot towel.
Excellent!. For a great experience, sit at the sushi bar. You’ll probably have Masa, Benson, or Antonio helping you, but expect VERY fresh and excellent sushi. I used to only eat rolls, but with the freshness of the sushi here, I mainly eat just nigiri. I eat sushi all over town, and right now this is my favorite. BTW, it’s under new management since last December and Masa (sushi chef) has been there since January. They’ve done a great job with the place. If you went there before and weren’t impressed, give it another shot. You won’t be disappointed.
Love it. More importantly, the address is 2130 west poplar, not 130. Big difference.
Good sushi especially the red bird roll! Service a little slow our last visit but still good food
Best kept secret. Sekisui in Collierville features a wonderful variety of very fresh-tasting sushi and excellent service.Another good thing–in all the times my family has dined there, it was only crowded once!Highly recommend it!
