Worst dining experience in a long time. Decent sushi. Fried rice is full of onions and veggies. Got combo rice and beef rice and very limited meat. Family of 4 accustomed to sushi nights of $40 spent $63 with tip and walked out hungry (no alcohol).
Doesn’t like it. Use to be really good but not anymore! Today was some of the worst I’ve had there! Too bad because it has a great location.
Lots Of Dirty Dishes. We made a visit to Sekisui this past Saturday for dinner. A few things at this restaurant displeased us. First, Sekisui is NOT celiac friendly. Server did not know what celiac or gluten was. Second, this small restaurant had no less than 5 TV’s on. Not easy to enjoy dinner with a TV on. If people want to watch TV, do it at home. The server (young girl) was pleasant and attentive but had a problem with picking up dirty dishes. Brought main course and just pushed the empty soup bowls aside. I had to pretty much hand them to her to take away. The table next to us with 5 people had a table full of empty plates and bowls that were never taken away.Dinner was about a 4 out of 10. Beef teriyaki was very tough. Chicken was dry. My wife had sushi which she enjoyed. Did I mention the whining crying baby? Oh yea, for a good half of our dinner a little girl whined and cried. She wanted to go home and her parents were ignoring her. Ignoring a crying baby at home is fine. In a restaurant it is not fine, take the baby outside or go home. Don’t share the kid’s displeasure with the rest of the restaurant. We finished dinner and chatted a while before we left for home. Yes, you guessed it. We sat there with our dirty dishes. The server never cleared our table. (where is the training???)I think that this was going to be our last visit to Sekisui. Nothing special here. Too many negs.
