I asked for no cheese, my meal was covered in cheese. It goes back to the kitchen and miraculously it returns, two minutes later with the cheese scraped off and the shrimp turned over to try and hide the remaining cheese.

Terrible service, poor quality food but cold beer. Second time there and did not improve any. Very slow service and I could smell my wife’s fish tacos a mile away.

Tried the food several times and always disappointed. Over priced for the small portioned appetizers. Buffalo pizza was extremely greasy, spicy, and flour-y all in one. Service wasn’t great either, took forever to get our meals. Won’t be back again.

I’ve been to the Skybox a few times since it opened earlier this year. I have ordered food 4 times and every time I say ‘well, I’m never ordering THAT again’. The mahi mahi tacos come out with fish that taste (and look) like it was cooked days ago, served in stale corn tortillas that fall apart while still on the plate. The crawfish dip is served cold and tastes basically like cheap mayonnaise with a little bit of old bay season and a very small amount of imitation crawfish meat stirred into it. How can the owners not see the poor quality of the food this kitchen continues to turn out? I was asked by a friend to join him recently and since the food leaves so much to be desired, I ate beforehand and planned to simply order a drink at the bar. I ordered one glass of wine from the bartender and in another hour, my glass was 3/4 empty so I flagged him down for another glass. He took my 1/4 full glass of wine, filled it back up and gave it back to me! So basically my second round was a 3/4 pouring of wine. Whatever. So, as is my usual when I’m in a bar with a tab under $20, I paid cash for my 1.75 glasses of wine and left him a $3 tip. Here’s where it went bad, very fast. I got up to leave, and another bartender (this time a female) that I had never seen before, started yelling at me to stop and pay my tab. I told her I had just paid my tab, $15 and some change. I told her I left a $3 tip. She shook her head no and said ‘you didn’t pay your tab ma’am.’ At this point I started to look around for my bartender so he could vouch for me. Since I had paid cash, I had no receipt to prove I had paid my tab and she wasn’t believing me. Finally, my bartender showed up and said he thought I’d paid so I was allowed to leave. I complained to the owner about this event 2 days later and he seemed NOT CONCERNED in the least. Said it was understandable if my bartender didn’t remember whether I’d paid my tab or not and that the female bartender stopped me because she thought I hadn’t paid. He totally missed the point and the problem here. If someone pays their tab with cash, then they should not be stopped and confronted by an employee as they try to leave. There is no system in place at Skybox to mark a tab as ‘paid’ once a customer settles up, apparently. It’s your word against theirs. This has never happened to me before in any restaurant or bar where I’ve chosen to pay cash. If you waste an evening going to the Skybox and pay cash, GET A RECEIPT or be prepared to be stopped and questioned. Without a receipt in your hand, you’ll have to hope they believe you because they’re not keeping up with whether you have paid or not. Or better yet, go 100 yards east to Huey’s where the food is perfect, the service beyond reproach and best of all, the customers receive respect.

Family owned & operated. Fun atmosphere. Better & healthier menu options than typical bar food. Great location.

Not impressed. Service and food left a lot to be desired. The two who tried the macaroni egg rolls didn’t want to finish it. Way overpriced. Burger was obviously a frozen patty which hardly had any flavor aside from salt. The vegetables on the burger were soggy and rubbery. The fries were soggy as well. Again, it was overpriced. Everything from getting drinks to the tab took too long. I doubt we will return.

Wish the food was better!!!. I was hoping to have a great sports bar in Germantown but I was very disappointed in the food. I had the hamburger and it was basically a frozen hamburger from Kroger with some seasoning on it. The kids could not even finish the chicken tenders because of all the undercooked breading on them. I do hope the food improves so the bar will stick around…. It is a cool place to have drinks with friends though.
