Too expensive and too average. Swankys is overrated and expensive. I can get much better Mexican fare at any number of sit down restaurants in the area for equivalent prices or less. Fortunately, the food is not all that bad. The worst food award still sits with Booyas. My biggest complaint with Swankys is the restaurants flow. It funnels everyone into a single line with one register at the end. After diners customize their orders, they have to wait as proceeding orders are rung up. Thats stupid. On busy days, a dozen completed orders will just sit and cool as hungry customers wait impatiently. And if an order is rung up incorrectly, precious minutes are spent fixing that instead of moving the line forward. There is a register at the bar about 10 feet away, but even on the busiest days, Ive never seen a manager use it to ring up food orders. Instead, people are left waiting. I dont speak for everyone, but Im not a fan of cold tacos. Common sense would dictate installing additional registers. But common sense doesnt always prevail with management. The food is OK. Im not a fan of the chips, salsa, or cheese dip. They arent that good. Plus, Swankys charges extra for them. Most Mexican restaurants offer chips and salsa free with a meal. Not here. The cost of a 3 taco meal with a single cola is over $10. Thats absurd because no sides are included in that order. If a diner wants chips and queso, add another $4.69. If a diner wants salsa, thats another $2. Wow. Add tax and a single meal is gonna cost at least $13-16 for a basic Mexican dinner. Thats for only one person!! Expensive. The food is OK. OK food is not worth what Swankys charges. The restaurant is sometimes clean. Its not uncommon to walk in and see plates piled up on tables. Buts its extremely common to find managers lounging around. Being poorly lit doesnt help either. The place just feels dingy at times.Swankys is too darn expensive for a fast food-like joint. The ingredients are OK, but nothing special. Salsaritas is better and less expensive, and Im glad it has finally come to our area.

This is not Mexican food, or Tex-Mex, and is inedible. My friend and I both ordered burritos, one just beans and cheese, the other a steak burrito. We added guacamole. They were both totally inedible. I don’t know what kind of oil they put on everything but it is not good and definitely not Mexican. Mexican food is built around fresh ingredients and light fats like avocado. This is literally the first time that I have ever thrown food away right after buying it. If you want some good fusion, inauthentic Mexican, Chipotle is much, much better for the same price.

Good consistent, quality food. Owned by local people always leave satisfied, burrito, salads and tacos are all real good. They have a good margarita as well! This is a place I go to often because of the consistency.

Terrible. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was basically inedible. It was so oily that i could not pick up a piece with my hands, yet somehow the cheese wasn’t even melted all the way. It’s like they drench it in oil before putting it on the flat top, but they don’t have the flat top even close to hot enough. After having the pleasure of attempting to eat my over priced, soggy quesadilla with a fork something hard hit my tooth. I spit out my food in my napkin to find a narrow shard of bone. Wow. Royally screwing up the easiest thing in world to cook amazes me.

Not Good. I couldn’t even finish my burrito because it was so awful. Not sure what people see in this place. Yes, it has a great atmosphere but just about every other burrito in town tastes better. I hate it the first time I went but due to the popularity of the place, I decided to give it a second try and it was equally as bad.
