This is a nice little place in Germantown. My mom brought me here for lunch one day and it was delicious. They give you some really good sweet bread and it is amazing!!! I usually get their hotdog. Is that weird? Oh well. It’s always grilled just right and placed on a deliciously toasted bun. I love that much at least. I will be back to try more food! Just make sure you get there when they aren’t busy or you could be waiting a little while for a table.
Absolutely fantastic! I go there every Friday with my friend. Waffles are delicious and they have the best cheese grits in town.
Never Again. Ate dinner a few weeks ago and it was a little disappointing. Ate breakfast with my wife today and it was horrible. French toast salty and not eatable. Bacon paper thin. Toast and biscuits bad. At least they couldn’t ruin fried eggs.

Southern comfort food, #1 Diner choice for Memphians. As a local Memphian, we flock to this place constantly, because it’s been around forever & nothing ever changes. Same classic Amercian southern comfort food that you can rely on, just like grandma would make. And some of the most friendly service (if you go for supper, Christy is awesome) you will find anywhere in Memphis. Ask for legendary sweet biscuits, they will warm you up, no doubt. LOVE their ranch dressing, it’s the PERFECT blend of mayo & spices & I dip those sweet biscuits in it & melt, every time. Their Chicken Tenders go flying out of the kitchen but are only on the menu certain days a week so folks will go running when they are. Same goes for the Turkey & Dressing, you can have Thanksgiving every Thurs if you like. Their Po-BOYS are also fantastic, a must try is the Oyster Po-Boy. Thank ya’ll for serving up classic comfort food, we love ya!
Although I like the West Street Diner, it wasn’t as clean as it could be.The chairs and especially the menus were sticky. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer. I don’t understand why particular things at most restaurants are not cleaned on a regular basis. I ordered the country fried steak w/ corn and mashed potatoes. My mom had the chicken n dumplings w/ black eyed peas. Our food was hot and served quickly. During our lunch, the restaurant seemed to get warmer by the minute, which made it uncomfortable. They turned on the a/c as we left. And bless the only waitress working all those tables. She had forgotten to turn on the a/c because she was so busy. Quite understandable. This just seemed to be an off day for the diner. We still like it. Though the cleanliness needs some improvement.27 Mar, 2011Good food. Although this place is far from an actual diner, the food is always good, the prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly. My mom and I come here a couple times a month, just for something different. She loves the fried chicken livers and I usually stick with the tuna melt sandwich. But we’ve both had a little of everything on our past visits. The portions are huge. We never leave hungry.
I had the biscuits & gravy. I was surprised that it tasted sweet. I won’t have it again. Husband had the ham omelete. He said it was good. Coffee was great.
