Great place, but stupid idea…. I don’t know if the staff can’t collectively read I.d.’s or something, but they made a mistake making it 21 and up. Maybe they don’t realize in America, the legal age for smoking tobacco products, or shisha, is 18. They have a tiny bar and other chill restaurants serve beer, but allow the clearly u.s. legal age people to enjoy their food. There is no reason it shouldnt be 21 and up, except ignorance. It’s a shame Chattanooga can’t have cool hookah bars 18 and up, like in Knoxville. I would go there all the time, if it wasn’t so damn restrictive. I am of age, but the people I go to the bar with are not the same people I’d go to a shisha bar with. I mean, more power to you if you’re making bank roll (lots of money). If you’re not, now you know why.

Vegan Friendly. Cloud 9 is vegan friendly. Options off the menu include:-Tomato Bruschetta (ask for no cheese).-Hummus and Pita-Stuffed Grape Leaves-To the best of my knowledge, the Al Fakher and the Al Amir brands they offer are vegan and use molasses as the binding option. It is unclear if the glycerin used is vegetable based (though a quick google check seems to suggest that it is indeed vegetable based) or not.-Most of the beers are vegan (such as the Saranac and the New Belgium brands). A list of vegan beers can be found at http://www.barnivore.com/.-And of course, the sodas, coffee, and the teas are vegan.
While offering a wide variety of shisha Cloud 9 Hookah Lounge has a tremendous selection of craft beers, and made from scratch food prepared by one of Chattanooga’s best cooks.
Wonderful place to melt away and relax. Go here, try it, repeat.
Loungin’…. Chattanooga has the perfect spot for low key conversation, comfortable seating, and an escape from the day to day. It’s Cloud 9. We are talkin’ , top notch chill factor here. When you are not in the mood for to bar hop but need to get out of the house and mingle—Cloud 9 has got you covered with Shisha, food, beer, soft music, and of course a great staff.
Great atmosphere, excellent hookah…definitely worth the drive from Knoxville 🙂 very pleased !!
