IHOP Hixson, TN. highly don’t recommend. I arrived placed my order and have been sittin here for an hour. There were two couples to come in after our party of two! Everyone else has received there food. Our waitress has not even come to talk to us except bring us our first water.
Disappointed. Today I met a friend to specifically have the Talapia Fish Meal. I ordered and was told they didn’t have all of the ingredients to make the meal. I also ordered Sierra Mist to drink, only to find they were low on syrup. I ordered a different meal and a different drink, but wish I had just left.Only because I had a great waitress and my friend there, did I stay.
Better than Brainerd.. My visits to this IHOP have been better than Brainerd, generally speaking. The staff seems concerned that my order come out right, and there is no humidity problem in the building, as there is on Brainerd, so all of the salt shakers aren’t soaked in condensation. The problem I encountered on my last visit was a server not informing me of an upcharge that wasn’t mentioned on the menu. $2.99 (wanted whole wheat pancakes instead of buttermilk; apparently this is $2.99, where as if I would have substituted for cinna-stack, or cheesecake pancakes, or something 10x more elaborate, I would have only paid $.99). I paid it without too much fussing, but other patrons might not be so forgiving.
Food is always cold, and coffee is basically water.
Horrible service. Food backed up on the hotplate. Cold food served. Waitresses huddling behind the wall rather than serve, and all of this with barely 1/4 of a house. Crap all the way around.
Yum Comfort Food. Every time I have been here (5 or 6 times) the service has been great and the food better! Everything from the huge omelets, delicious pancakes, bacon, eggs, delish! I have never ordered anything but breakfast but those breakfasts are yummy!
